Vaping and hotel rooms UK

I’m trying to organise an overnight stay in a hotel for a treat but my companion is a compulsive vaper.
Im not sure how to proceed as everywhere non smoking, will this be a deal breaker?

Are they unable to leave the room to vape?

I vape in hotel rooms and no alarm has ever gone off or anything 🤷‍♀️

Get a room with a balcony?

Most hotel rooms say no vaping or smoking now so they'll need to leave the room and go outside.

I did this with my BF and she just vaped in a towel. No big deal.

I'm sure vaping can't be detected in an hotel room like smoking can. Open window, bathroom? The days we tried to have a cigarette was impossible due to the obvious smell and smoke alarm! Xx

We were staying in a hotel last year when the alarm went off about 1 in the morning. When I asked at reception the next morning what had happened I was told it was someone vaping in their room.

I’ve vaped in hundreds of hotel rooms in the UK and abroad. Everything from a Premier Inn to Claridges. On cruise ships too, which for obvious reasons have very sensitive smoke alarms. I have never set off an alarm, never been changed, it’s never been an issue.

The alarm will not go off if ou vape. Honestly get a bloody grip. Book the hotel room

DH vapes and HAS set the alarm off in the flat we used to live in! The area was a lounge with a hatch to the kitchen then hall- so larger than a hotel room!

I've never vaped so have no idea if his vape produces more 'smoke/steam' or whatever comes out, but it doesn't produce a cloud like others I've seen. I too would get a room with a patio or balcony.
