I for one still have a kid waiting to hear about interviews. Thought I'd carry it over...

Fingers and toes crossed for all of the Cambridge interviewees for tomorrow (IIRC). It feels like yesterday that I was in your position with a very nervous DS, but it goes SO fast - all I can say is that those that didn't make it from DS' cohort are thriving elsewhere, and DS sometimes looks enviously at their timetables and wishes he'd maybe chosen somewhere a little less intense....!

Anyway, whatever happens, they are all amazing young people and they WILL excel, whichever path opens up for them tomorrow.

It goes fast? The seven weeks since interviews have felt like three years...

Yes @tortoise18 you are right - the wait is hideous. I suppose I meant once they have heard, hurtle towards A levels and then start at uni ..feels like yesterday we were nervously heading up with a carload of his stuff and now he's heading towards 3rd yr exams😊

DS told us last night that he had received an offer from Bath last week and he “forgot” to tell us 🤦‍♀️

Hope his memory isn't as flaky tomorrow @Coldilocks 🤣 Good luck (and well done him!).

I daren’t ask him as I think it will be a big no. He is still holding out for Imperial 🤞

I know that the odds are against DD getting an offer tomorrow. It would be wonderful if she got offers from Bath and Bristol, and soon! That way, she could go to offer holder days and get excited about other options!

My biggest worry is that she will not get offers or they will come so late that she loses heart and misses out on offer holder days and accommodation.

@stockpot good luck to your dd! Do Bath and Bristol do a first-come first-served things with accommodation? I thought that was more for the unis who really needed bums on seats and used it as an incentive to firm fast, but I could be wrong? I wouldn't worry too much about offer holder days, you can rock up any time to check a uni out. They're both great universities. Feel for all of you waiting for tomorrow, it's not a fun experience.

News trickles in over the course of the morning but often UCAS track updates before the email arrives.

A gentle reminder that there are also Oxbridge redirected threads (for the past 3 years) for parental support if the news isn't what you/dc were hoping for.

If you open up "Stage 6" here, it suggests that UCAS tends to come later than college emails (may differ from college to college though).

Thanks Tortoise, yes, that is probably the case but track may also update first as happened for several dc we know over the past few years and from the Oxbridge threads.

DD has had an invite for her college offer-holders day, which is handily after her mocks at the start of March.

Does UCAS update all at the same time for C as a whole - or do different colleges/subjects update separately on UCAS?

Different times... My DD is in her 2nd year at Cambridge and I still remember the frantic refreshing of the UCAS page from 6am (pointless of course). I think her college results came around 11.00 but her friends received their results at various times!

Crossing all we have here and awaiting Newnham news. Hope it's not too late in the day when it comes- not sure my heart can take it!

Very realistic about it likely being a rejection here, but super proud of dd to get this far considering she missed a full year of education in y10. Two good offers already, but just want the wait over with. She isn’t going into school today, couldn’t deal with the wait there!
