@PSHE my DS has applied to Aston and received an interview offer about 2 weeks ago - he had a score of 32.

well done on the offers coming through- it’s fantastic news and makes it all feel very real now.

It’s quiet on here today 😊

Anyone heard from Plymouth?

No message for us yet from Plymouth but student room is suggesting (not sure how reliable this is) the home non contextual ucat cut off is 2600 this year - I’m not sure what their a level predicted grade requirement is as there was some debate between 3 As and one A star two As .. also apparently no emails so need to check notifications in portal.

Dd had Leicester interview today and loved the uni and said everyone was friendly.

HTH

@islaoo if Plymouth has gone that high I'll be surprised. It was 2210 last year ! Normally around 2400/2500. But strange things happen every year. No news is good news.

mumsneedwine · 18/12/2024 17:57

And usually AstarAA. Unless contextual

Justlikingit · 18/12/2024 18:15

Oh wow!! I didn’t realise they required prediction of A*. A A. Thought its was AAA.
Strange things seem to be happening around UCAT scores this year.

mumsneedwine · 18/12/2024 18:23

Was always going to be a weird year, with BMAT going. Plymouth do appear to be saying 2,600 which is high for them. But until interviews start coming out it's hard to know where it will end up.

Sheffield high again this year - that 2,400 news last year was not helpful as some applied with lower UCATs. It's always above 2700.

Long way to go. You only need one offer.

islaoo · 18/12/2024 18:24

2 years ago it was 2680 though .. hopefully we’ll get official info tomorrow. TSR probably not too reliable.. DD has a star a a predictions and 2670 so I’ve got my fingers crossed for her.

mumsneedwine · 18/12/2024 18:35

@islaoo it was. Spikey profile from Plymouth every year.🤞🤞 for tomorrow

islaoo · 19/12/2024 11:33

DD just got Plymouth interview invite! From what I can see the 2600 cut off is correct for this year.

maybemedmum · 19/12/2024 11:34

Great news @islaoo.

mumsneedwine · 19/12/2024 11:36

@islaoo 🥂 it's a fantastic place to live. And Derriford is huge !

HGC2 · 19/12/2024 21:27

Started a part 3 thread, can’t remember how I added in the old threads but will figure it out x

Well done to your DD, mine got an interview invitation as well, for Plymouth
it came just after 9am surprisingly as an email, as the people that heard on Wednesday all said it came on their UCAS portals ( although I only know of rejections on Wednesday).
