Just checking in to see how everyone is. Still waiting on QMUL and BSMS here…glad we’ve got the offer we most wanted though! Mocks results coming in now…school marked them quite harshly so DS is knuckling down…to the grades!🤞🏼

DS still waiting for Birmingham, Notts and Manchester post interview and any response from KCUL...... this wait is hideous but the B'ham offers seem to be trickling in - a friend from his school got one today and his interview was the day before.....

@Mumofboys2006 we had QMUL offer yesterday. So 4 offers which is great. She has just firmed Exeter. We are trying to find a group chat for ‘24 Exeter new medics if anyone knows the details? I think it’s against the rules to ask on the Student Room.

My DS is yet to receive any offers and I can see he’s really down about it.
I’ve been trying to prepare him for the worst and told him to focus on his grades instead (easier said then done)

can I ask when you DS had his UOB interview?

Hiya - yes it was first one and I think around 23/24 Jan - week before Manchester one. Likewise, he'a like a cat on a hot tin roof ! There are 30 from his year who have applied for Medicine and not a lot of offers so far so there is still hope without a reply !!!

Hi @4andnotcounting his interview was on the 19th Jan I think. Are you on the TSR thread? I think offers are trickling through…

just for context he got rejected by SGUL the day before and we are still waiting for the other two.

BSMS haven’t even started sending anything out yet by the looks of it!

So this is his one offer right now! Bright boy, predicted 2A* and an A at Alevel all 9s etc - so don’t lose heart!🤞🏼🤞🏼

My dd got put on the reserve list for sheffield this week. She's holding one offer (from her favorite) so she's ok. She still hasn't heard from the other two. Really hoping for an offer for all the dc here. I get strangely invested every time I do this (usually quite a normal person :)) but its such a brutal process, so its lovely to see other dc with offers. They can only attend one in the end so one is all they need at the end of the day. Keeping everything crossed for those waiting on their first offer particularly.

Can I ask what institutions people are still waiting to hear from? BSMS and Lancs here. Lancs told someone on TSR that offers will be out by end of the month. No word on BSMS but it was around this time last year (circa 9 March) so hoping it's soon.

((As you can see I'm way too invested - genuinely feels like yesterday that I went through this process!)

My DD is waiting for Manchester but we are not expecting to hear for a few weeks still. The wait is so hard isn't it!

DS2 still waiting for UCL, KCL and Leicester.

DD still waiting to hear from Nottingham and Southampton post interview.

She has offers from Exeter and Bristol already but not sure if they have finished contacting everyone as yet. 🤔

My dd never had a favourite and so will find it difficult to choose which one to firm. But I appreciate that it’s a privileged position to be in and really have everything crossed for those without an offer to hear some good news soon 🤞🤞🤞

Keele yet to interview lots. I would expect t most decisions to have been made by the end of March. Almost there !
