Yes, @mumsneedwine That was part of the attraction.

Still chewing our fingernails here….

Haleofalife · 14/02/2024 13:04

It seems Plymouth is starting to send out their offers, does anyone know if they have a batch system (if anyone has had previous kid apply there) or all in one day as some do?

yes we want to know that also, do they send in batch ?

mumsneedwine · 14/02/2024 13:40

@Ib1234567 @Haleofalife batches normally (most email systems can t cope with sending 100s at one time). Sit tight. No news is currently still good news 🤞🤞

Thanks @mumsneedwine

I don't suppose anyone has experience of occupational health assessments for medical school? DD has an odd little bundle of health needs and has been asked by Dundee to go to an early OH assessment. I think this is probably great because it will allow them to plan what they need to do for her but she is worried that they might take her place away.

mumsneedwine · 14/02/2024 16:08

@Habbibu v v unlikely they'll take her place away 😊. They just need to know what extra support might be needed. Unless they are physically incapable of doing the course you should be fine.

Thethingswedoforlove · 14/02/2024 16:14

My dd had one last summer @Habbibu and they were very supportive and kind. All totally fine and for her no additional measures were/ are needed. They just wanted to make that decision for themselves.

Habbibu · 14/02/2024 17:18

Thanks. I'll sure she will be fine it's just that it's complex and it seems like another hurdle, poor soul!

Randomactofkindness · 15/02/2024 16:59

My daughter has just had an offer from UEA 🥳

Habbibu · 15/02/2024 17:00

Brilliant news! Congratulations.

Honestly don’t worry. My experience of Occ Health for med students is to make sure they get the right support and reasonable adjustments from day one as young people often won’t ask and med schools only become aware when things go wrong
the GMC is pushing more and more on equality and diversity in medicine and making sure doctors with any sort of disability can be successful too

ipredictariot5 · 15/02/2024 17:28

Great news on another offer !

AutumnSilver · 15/02/2024 22:31

Are there any offers from London universities for Medicine after interview? Please

Groundhogday2021 · 15/02/2024 22:37

Huge congrats @Randomactofkindness to your dd! I loved UEA when we looked at it. 🎉👏

W0tnow · 16/02/2024 08:05

Congratulations to all offer receivers. Well done!

Still biting our nails here. Does anyone know over how many days the universities send out their offers? I know that some send out drugs and drabs toward the end of the cycle, I mean the first bulk tranche of offers.

opoponax · 16/02/2024 08:18

They are all very different @WOtnow. It seems to be a reflection of the different processes of different admissions teams working through the lists. Some send out very large batches over a few days, others seem to send out fairly large and sometimes smaller batches more sporadically and with others, it seems like a steady trickle of smaller numbers. The reality is also probably quite distorted by just seeing part of the picture on TSR as many candidates won't be on there. I hope your DC gets good news soon.

speedyhedgehog · 16/02/2024 09:45

Congratulations @ranfomactofkindness dd. Lovely news!

Randomactofkindness · 16/02/2024 11:46

@W0tnow which Uni’s are you waiting for? The wait is so hard - very lucky my daughter has an offer - she’s still waiting for Newcastle, Sheffield & HYMS…….

Thank you for all the messages - she’s very happy to have an offer!

W0tnow · 16/02/2024 12:15
