Ds is finding that too @Notcontent especially as, being in Scotland, the vast majority of his friends have unconditional offers and are totally relaxed! Thankfully he has a lot of friends applying for medicine so at least they can stick together while stressing!

Hi all, we just did B’ham uni interview. DS seems happy - reckons it was the best one yet 🤞🏼- he loves the campus and the medical school. Said everyone was really friendly.
one more to go for us in a couple of weeks with QMUL 😊

Totally agree that the whole process is exhausting but I suppose it shows their commitment to medicine and the stamina required for the career choice they have made!

DD had Nott’s interview today and thought it went better than Bristol! 2 down and 2 to go over next 2 weeks for her. Mocks all done so we are looking forward to a ‘slightly’ more relaxed February before the next stage of this gruelling Year 13 begins! 😊

DD has an offer from Oxford but still waiting on other three (all interviews before Xmas). They were at Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle. Oxford is her first choice anyway but hoping she gets some more offers 🤞🏻

Glasgow have started handing out offers, DD received hers last Thursday(interviewed 7/12 RUK) it arrives in ucas first, email from Glasgow next morning

Hi all. Anyone had an offer yet from Bristol or know when they are going to be deciding? Dd had her interview in early December (early round as good UCAT) and then was 'put on hold'. Not sure what that means. It is nerve-wracking!!

@MirrorSignal1 the Bristol 'on hold' s just a mechanism Bristol uses as part of their selection process. It just means they are considering the candidate's application but haven't yet made a decision on them. They tend to make offers and rejections in batches and there doesn't seem to be any correlation between who has or hasn't been put on hold and which way it goes. Both of my DC got Bristol offers (one was three years ago and one was last year) but they waited a while for them to come through. Good luck and congratulations to all on the other offers.

our work experience at end of yr 10 was at gp but have to be honest we only got it through SIL who works there.
Try NHS volunteering - a lot of kids do that in year 12. Also, if you look through this thread any customer-facing work experience is just as good. Working in a cafe etc. It’s about what she got out of it. Similar learnings I imagine….

we have Barts intvw to go and as it’s our first panel style one I wondered whether anyone could recommend any good resources pls specific to that style.

DS2 just got an offer from Cambridge not the college he applied to but a different one. This is his first offer.

DD has her third (and final) interview in 30mins and then her waiting officially begins…..!

Dd had her last interview today and her dbs both got their first offers through. Big day in this house, i'm shattered. They are all relieved to some degree. Dd knew they would likely get final decisions before her despite her submitting in October and them in January i hadn't thought it would coincide with her last interview though. What a day.

Do you have triplets applying @speedyhedgehog ? I think I must have missed that when you posted previously. Bloody hell, I’m finding it tough enough with one, how in the name of god are you holding it together???!!!

Yes @sybill, triplets applying this year. Also triplets learning to drive atm!!! Its going to be so quiet come September if all goes well and they all get places.
