one more interview for us next week- DS very chilled - Bart’s have sent the article he needs to discuss through - quite interesting actually ….

still waiting for offers but may be too soon…

DS’ friends who applied to Cambridge haven’t got in…all very bright ….

@speedyhedgehog wow, I’m always in awe of multiple parents but have just realised how much more expensive it all is when they’re doing this stuff at the same time. I doff my cap to you! Must be so much fun though too. Could you imagine if they were all applying for medicine…!!?
@Mumofboys2006 same for DDs friends, only one got an offer amongst lots of very clever applicants. It’s very tough (or as my DD likes to say, humbling!)

@sybill @mumofboys2006 I might cry if they were all applying for medicine! This is 'my' third time through the washer / application process, my older two were fortunate enough to get places first time round. I'm hoping for the same for dd, its a weight on all of us parents and its not even our application! but we feel the stress too. Hopes and prayers for all our dc. Its a long and stressful process isn't it.

Ds got an offer from Aberdeen which is the one he has been hoping for. He's absolutely delighted. Only one to hear from and that one was his back up option, only useful if all the others failed.

DD just got Aberdeen too! Congratulations on all the offers - bet everyone will be so glad when it's done.

Congrats on the offers @OwlMother and @Habbibu - they’ve done so well and how lovely to have a choice now! Aberdeen would be a great city to be a student. Lovely beaches and outdoor activities on your doorstep too

i have to say the Scottish Med Schools have been amazingly quick off the mark with offers! Dd still has one more interview next week but the wait after that will feel endless! I really don’t know how these kids keep going… it’s exhausting! 😩

I have seen a few Leeds offers come out today on TSR too…

Well done @Habbibu's dd! So funny to think they probably followed each other around the various uni locations! Ds is hoping there will be offer holders days he can attend to make a final decision between Aberdeen and Dundee.

I know - I was telling DD she has a MN medicine twin. She's just waiting to hear back from Edinburgh now but she wasn't as keen.
I feel bad for her friend though as dentistry seems to be much slower than medicine in giving out offers

Ds didn't apply for Edinburgh as he felt it would be too close to home. He is just waiting for QUB. A friend's ds is in fourth year at Edinburgh and is absolutely loving it, can't speak highly enough of it, which almost swayed him.

Sorry to join the thread late, I got directed here from chat.

DC had an interview scheduled then qualified for extra time due to disability. The interview was delayed by a few months to accommodate this.
In the break between stations they realised that if "felt" too quick so dm'd the team. Got no response so carried on. After the session the participants were pulled into a break out room and told that the team had not realised that it was meant to be an extra time interview and so had done it on normal timings.
Does anyone know what happens now? The university has said they will contact the participants but dc is quite anxious about what has happened. Do they make them redo the interview or is it a case if scoring them up a bit as the accommodation wasnt made?

@turnleftattheroundabout I've never heard of extra time at interview, did has extra time for exams but it wasn't mentioned for her. Maybe someone else will have some knowledge of this.

I have now read through the thread - I didnt even know this thread existed! DC got 3250 for ucat. I am hoping this interview mess up doesnt takeaway from that? It shows there capable at least?? Ugh. Stress!

@TurnLeftAtTheRoundabout wait and see what happens, but you have a very good case to appeal if DD is rejected.

DD got Edinburgh too today. She's 4 for 4 now which she can't quite get her head around. Congratulations to everyone else. I hope the interview confusion works out ok. Sounds like your DC remained composed throughout which will look good.

Last IV yesterday at QMUL. SGUL said end Feb for offers so I guess nothing until then. The wait begins.

@W0tnow - we have QMUL Barts this Friday - didn’t realise until now it’s online - so we shall definitely doing the practice run he didn’t do last time for BsMs!
