Great news @Harumff and good luck to your dd. Ds did a masterclass at Pembroke Cambridge and loved it. They really make an effort with outreach/widening participation too.

Does anyone have a contact number for the exam body who administered the MAT exam. I need to get hold of my son's MAT number so he can register for the question 1exam next week.

DD been invited for interview. She now has to get her head down and prep for the online test on 22nd Nov and her interview is on 7th Dec so exactly 4 weeks away!

It was DD’s last day of mocks today too so she’s slightly delirious. Gone off out for celebratory dinner with her boyfriend now.

Great news @Rollergirl11 and wishing her all the best for her preparation. Hopefully she'll still be in heads down mode.

Looking at dates on TSR I don't think ds can expect to hear anything for his subject until around the third week of Nov and decline emails seem to come out the same time.

Absolutely no idea if DS will hear any time soon as he hasn't mentioned if the college have emailed with the timescales and I don't like to ask as he gets very stressed thinking about it.

Congratulations. My DS’s last day of mocks was today too. He’s going out with his friends tomorrow. Mock timetabled worked out great with him turning 18 on Saturday. He will be celebrating from tomorrow, all weekend.

I've name changed since I last posted on here

DS has an offer from Warwick for Maths.

He applied to Oxford and no one has received any interview dates yet from them as far as I'm aware

He will be retaking the MAT as his college was affected so they put in for special consideration

He wasn't too bothered by the whole debacle and thinks he did well so hopefully he'll be fine with this 2nd try too.

Exciting for everyone getting their Cambridge interview dates and I wish them all the best

@Mirrormeback Oxford Maths interview offers came out at the end of November last year and the interviews were mid December.

No one really does the phone thing at schools, unis and colleges you need to email and you'll always get a better response

Feeling so sad DC isn't doing MAT resit even tho was disrupted .... they seem exhausted by it all but has done so much work but refused

DS didn't want to resit the MAT and they really don't have to at all but Oxford have to offer it I suppose

My DS is only resitting it because he's going along with what his college are suggesting

I think my DS is quite exhausted by it all too even though he doesn't think he is

He has had a reading week this week so time off college for study.

He's been recharging and not doing much study tbh

I think getting an offer sort of allowed him to breathe a bit

DS2 has his first offer, from Kings (english lit). Am hoping that will sweeten the last push on his coursework which will be this weekend's joy.
