A levels 2023 - Results day and beyond

Hi all. I thought I’d make a new thread as the countdown one is filling up.
Results day is here and I’m sure we will all value each others support, today and for the next stage of their journeys.

DS got email saying alternative course offered but nothing on dashboard or info on email about which uni is offering alternative course

Results are in DS got 2 A*’s, 2 A’s and a B which is more than enough for his first choice so very happy. Nothing on UCAS yet though.

UCAS not updated - but DS has email from Exeter to confirm his place for Law. So happy ....

Well done to all DC and for those who are ringing unis or doing clearing I hope the day is productive and your DC end up with something utterly fabulous. You've got this.

No results here yet and dd couldn't get onto UCAS but then an email through saying congratulations she is into her firm. Leeds for accounting and finance.
She needed ABB for that.
Getting ready to head into college now. Will check email for results first but she now doesnt really care about specific grades. She is in!

She's in to her insurance choice (which to be honest was my preference). No actual results yet but Maths at Sussex here we go :)

Good luck to everyone. I was an exam invigilator this year and worked 1-1 with the students who needed special access arrangements. Hoping so much 'my kids' did well, but probably will never know! I am on the school facebook page hoping to see happy familiar faces!

Dd got into her first choice (York) but was lucky to, because she's now got her results and she got BBB and the offer was AAB!

DS has got his first choice. Had emails from Uni and UCAS but portal not yet updated. Grades are lower than required but they've still taken him. So pleased for him. It's been a long journey to get here.

I am a bit confused, DD offered place on ABB, gets in with BCD, which I am thrilled about.. but have the grade boundaries moved that much this year?

She's into her firm! Cardiff Psychology woohoo!

2 marks off an A* for psychology and 4 off a A for graphics. Graphics was 177 out of 200 for an A and 189 out of 200 for an A star!

First choice confirmed! Yay… needed BCC and got BCC. DS struggles with exams and i thought this year he could drop to Ds. In chuffed to bit for him... He just wants to be taken out for breakfast 😅 well done everyone and keep trying those on UCAS dashboard its overhwlemed too!

Jesus, UCAS didn’t update until 8:17 but he got in to his 1st choice. Such a proud moment.
