Dd still not heard from Edinburgh for biology

DS heard from Edinburgh yesterday for Economics and Politics. Just waiting on Durham now.

Cambridge (Foundation Year). Interviews are next week but then we know we're not going to hear until May.

Leeds and Brighton.

Edinburgh (Radio Silence since application acknowledgement)

Durham (mid Feb email saying hoping to respond by April 21)

Exeter ('we're sorry we haven't made a decision yet' email last week)

Durham is the one DS really wants

Durham and Edinburgh (DD's number 1 and 2 choices if she gets offers) for History related degree.

Edinburgh and St. Andrews.

Dc has been lucky with a couple of the places mentioned here to have had early offers. I have no idea why as they are UK, non-contextual...maybe because it's for a less popular course. Maybe truly just random.

Just curious OP are you in the US given you say waiting "on" not waiting "for" (huge assumption - apologies if wrong) - I thought international students usually got decisions earlier but maybe that's not always the case then.

Just to add, Student Room seems to be showing a few more Edinburgh offers now but still not many.

Lipa for Acting BA. Ds had an audition at the beginning of February and waiting to hear if he has a call back or has been unsuccessful.

Edinburgh and St Andrews - just got Durham last week…

DD just got her last offer - from Edinburgh- this week, to do Arabic and Politics.

TBH it's the not knowing if the longer you wait the lesser your chances, or if there's still as good a chance. So hard to get a sense of perspective (and it's not even me awaiting a place 😂. Thankfully DD doesn't seem too worried).

Just got an offer from Edinburgh this week (last one of the five, applied November).

Correction Edinburgh offer came today (History A*AA) - now just waiting for St Andrews.

Not int he game this year, but had to pop in to say "hoping to respond by April 21". I mean, really. What on Earth are Durham and E and St A and UCL etc doing with these applications? Using them to prop up wobbly desks?

Offer in from top choice but DD annoyingly unable to confirm until hears from all potential insurance offers. If she hears from Durham she is likely to withdraw from UCL as not so bothered about them and we live within commuting distance, she has some nice insurance offers in the bag but it is always the case of ‘what if’ they offer me the right grade to make it a viable insurance, Durham likely to offer same as top choice but I am told ‘you never know’.

Edinburgh offer in today. So high though, compsci, three A stars.

Bath for Psychology Placement, hoping to hear soon but getting ready for a rejection. On the TSR s/s they are offering to her predicted grades but with an epq that she hasn't done.

Still awaiting Edinburgh for Computer Studies, have had offers from Glasgow, Strathclyde and Birmingham.
