The very best of luck to everyone. I remember this post Xmas wait, but trying not to mention unis - it's ingrained in my memory! DC did not get in first time, but got in the second time round. Many of them do. Even if the worst happens and they don't get any offers they are that excited about when all is said and done, they can always take a gap year and reapply with a stronger application, extra maturity and hopefully top grades in hand. Just wanted to mention this possibility - as this Oxbridge business does not need to be a one shot only. It's August by the time A-level results are out anyway - only a few months until Jan and then it's an unconditional offer if they are successful. Gap years are not ideal for Maths, but welcomed by other subjects (humanities and social sciences in particular). Hopefully this will not be an issue, but just mentioning gap years as an option!
