Its nice to see everyone all having a blast and living their best lives.
Fair bit has gone on since the last post. 2 days after the post we lost FIL so its been busy sorting the funeral and getting his affairs in order. DD2 moved into student studio with B/F and they had nothing but problems iw a blocked sink for two months which the student halls cant be arsed to fix. But saying that, the pair of them has had an absolute blast. They both loving their courses and friends, and socialising, and shes had a lot of time with the animals on campus. Shes very settled compared to last year when she wanted to come home with her being homesick at Reading. But loving her time in the city at Notts. DD1 moved into her accommodation at Manchester and enjoying her phd. Manchesters sorted a new laptop for coding/programmes as her own one is 4 years old now and has given up the ghost. She went to Spain up to the pyranees foothills to an experiment that she will be going to on a regular basis, and did a health and safety with 3 other uni students from Valencia. She went back with them on a five hour car journey to the hotel as the flight was from Valencia, but it was the night of the floods. She was about 10 mins drive away where the worst of it was. Following day she could not get the metro back to the airport, because of it flooded, and uber and cabify did not work, so she walked to a taxi rank, waited, and managed to get to the airport that way. She had 10 days at home, then shes now in Florence Italy. She applied about a month ago for a two week Autumn residential at the Galileo Institute and she got a place. So at the moment shes there now until Saturday when shes coming home and then later that evening been invited to a toga party.
