Is the Sheffield interview face to face?
My son got an invite too but he is at school right now.

Yes it’s in person’ for Sheffield. Says no rescheduling for any reason so be careful choosing date. DD is still shaking from all the panic with the booking form error and panicky date-choosing: that was bad timing being in transit from school!

Anyone know the Sheffield cut off ? Been teaching all day and now stuck in a meeting

From the famous spreadsheet 2022 Actual is 2780 for Sheffield.
But not sure for this coming year.

HIgh 2800s at the moment it would seem, lower end of 2800s not been offered (yet?)

Bit of an outcry on TSR - people hoping that there is some sort of batching going on with invitations but apparently Sheffield usually send out all invitations on the same day? 2860 is the lowest so far.

Does anybody know what is happening with Leicester? Do you think they have all been sent out?

@Africa2go they do usually send out all interviews on same day. And then rejections the next few days. It's soooo high ! They usually publish their cut off but can't find it this year - we need Julian back on TSR.

I know I say it every year but it is such a brutal process. 2800 is an excellent UCAT.

DD got an interview invite from Edinburgh this morning. Such happiness in the house that at least she gets a shot at it as it’s her first choice. DH and I were just trying to scramble a plan to get her there ( we couldn’t really live any further away without getting wet) when she pointed out it was online- a mixed blessing but certainly a huge cost saving. Hasn’t heard from Sheffield though , she is 2850 so maybe she just missed it. Waiting on news from Southhampton and Cardiff .

Does it feel like more RUK Edinburgh interview invites than normal?

I was singing in the choir at a funeral and came out to lots of texts from DS asking what to do about dates. He has interviews at Newcastle and Sheffield, no news yet from Leicester. He is doing Norwich and Newcastle w/c 5th Dec and I think he has booked Sheffield in Jan. Just as well he did not have to think about Leicester at the same time!

@Cathpot congratulations on Edinburgh, nobody with 2850 had posted on TSR last time I looked - suggest she checks her Spam and Promotions (if Gmail).

@Monkey2001 it's terrifyingly high. Let's hope they are doing batches for once - they've not published the cut off on the timeline so maybe there is a change in admin. I miss Julian !!

It’s nerve wracking just reading these but also really lovely hearing your dcs being asked for interview - I can’t imagine how it’ll feel when ds starts getting interviews or not this time next year.

It really is, all these super bright kids who don't get interviews unless they are strategic, and even strategic people would reasonably think 2830 was safe for Sheffield (if it is). Probably means it will be super low next year!

Wow, we got an interview from Sheffield, but much closer than we thought, thought we were safe with 2900….! Edinburgh still appears to be RUK and international only invited so far…which is understandable and glad so many are getting invites 😊. I have decided I want this year over 🤣

DD says in the list of questions supplied by Sheffield, there’s no mention of a station allocating points to the SJT band. Does anyone know if they have done away with this?

Also has anyone encountered the “20 questions” station previously?
