Has anyone had an interview for Imperial, UCL, or Queen Mary? I hate the waiting. We have been invited to interview for Cambridge, which was a big surprise considering his disappointing BMAT scores. But maybe the BMAT scores aren't everything. Who knows? Not really banking on Imperial or UCL interview but I guess anything is possible. His UCAT was better, soo we are hoping for a Queen Mary interview.

DD is waiting for the exact same 3. Her BMAT score was also disappointing so not really expecting an interview from UCL or Imperial, but it would be nice to know for sure. I am hopeful that she'll get an interview from Queen Mary as she aced the UCAT and has good predicted grades. I think Queen Mary sent an email saying that they would contact candidates on 23rd December?

Good luck to your ds with his Cambridge interview. I think Cambridge tends to interview as many as they can, so poor BMAT wouldn't necessarily be a block. Which college did he go for?

He applied to Jesus. There are no end of "finding Jesus" jokes inn my kitchen. His GCSEs are great, his predicted A levels really good but not quite perfect. So he has a lot going for him but I thought section 2 roof the BMAt was super important. It seems not. They do say they look at the whole candidate. So maybe they really did. We are going forward with the mindset that NOTHING is off the table (including a Gap Year). And, frankly, a gap year is not the end of the world. I will be absolutely gobsmacked if he get into Cambridge. And I will be immensely proud if he is offered a place at any of the places he applied to. They are all amazing.

Good luck to him. My nephew has applied to Jesus this year (not medicine). I always thought that dd would apply to Cambridge - it's where I studied and she had been talking about applying since she was little. In the end, she decided that the medicine faculty wasn't for her, but it's an amazing place and an incredible experience. Tell him not to be freaked out if the interviews are tough... they are supposed to be!

I think they are interested in potential rather than results, so he stands as good a chance as anyone!

@WhiteCarnation my DD has an interview at Jesus too - and had rather disappointing BMAT. Maybe there weren't that many candidates 🤔- she's on the 12th I think. But she has Newcastle before then... starting to feel real now!

Are we expecting anything to happen this afternoon, such as any sign of Liverpool invites? The tension is nail biting!!

Liverpool, Nottingham, HYMS. I’m on tenterhooks for all of them!

Birmingham interviews out. DS has one in mid Jan. He's pleased with 4 out of 4 interviews!

Birmingham also in for DS. Its one of his faves so he is pleased. 10.15 in person tho so well have to go up the night before.

DD has just booked her Nottingham interview.

DD has finally heard from one of her choices, interview booked for Nottingham.

Lovely news coming in about everyone’s interviews!
DD got a general email from Southampton saying they were working on the interview list and there would be news soon, so hopefully we will know one way or the other on the next couple of weeks. Also waiting to hear from Cardiff.

Online Notts interviews. So DD has two online and two face to face. Mixing it up a bit!

Dd has been invited to interview at Nottingham and Lincoln. Such a relief to have been invited!
