Anyone still waiting to hear from Durham?

Just wondered if anyone else is waiting to hear from Durham for an offer for 2019 entry?

See that offer holder day bookings are now open and I understand college allocation has begun.

DS still waiting here, DS application went through in November.....does this mean a rejection will likely be on its way?

Thanks Pantsy. He is definitely a stick-to-my-tribe person. He just needs to go out there and get them!

Cadburys - my DD is just coming to the end of her first year at Durham. She could also be described as having a niche personality - she's always done things her own way in her own time. She was incredibly nervous and anxious when I dropped her off and I feared it may all be just a bit too much for her. However, she’s made friends (mostly on her course and a few in her college) and has a part-time job which she enjoys and so has non-uni friends as well. She’s not into “formals”, hasn’t joined any clubs or societies but has done it her way and now loves it. As you say, they just need to find their tribe. It may take a little longer but I’m sure your son will be fine.

My DS is also just coming to the end of his first year at Durham, and has absolutely loved it there. He describes his friendship group as 'wavy', whatever that may be!

A quick Urban Dictionary search brings up

Your style is unique fresh also if you are listening to new unique beat or song.
is something so cool n chill to use

aye that haircut looks wavy which barber did that....

Which you may prefer to at least one of the alternatives:

Under the influenceofalcoholordrugs

I can barely rememberwhat I did last night, that liquor had me too wavyShock

MarchingFrogs · 25/05/2019 11:07

Or influence of alcohol or drugs if you are not my phone's formatting software...

Ooh, thank you MarchingFrogs, most enlightening. I believe that alcohol and the odd spliff are consumed, so I hope the first definition was what he had in mind!

They are quite arty and very into photography. He's most definitely into the rah, rugby crowd stuff.

TonTonMacoute · 25/05/2019 17:02

That should be most definitely not into the rah...
