Hi a new thread with DC applying to Vet Med next year or for anyone with DC already studying who could pass on some words of wisdom!

My DD is looking to apply to Cambridge, Surrey, Nottingham and Bristol.
She has a fair amount of work experience arranged already and we will do the open day circuit next year.

Hi Bati, how are you? Dd is ok now, she was very anxious before they cancelled exams but I think is happier now. She just misses her friends so much! Lambing is about to start here, so hopefully she will be able to get stuck into that and it will be a good distraction. She wasn’t going to be involved this year with revision taking priority, but every cloud.....
Hopefully we will soon all get some clarity on how the grades will be assessed, and we just have to keep believing that by September our prospective vets will be able to start their courses.

My DS has firmed Bristol and not put down an insurance choice as Bristol is a contextual offer, I am so happy he has finally chosen.

Hi all!

I'm a vet and currently working on a resource for students who are looking to apply to veterinary schools in the UK. I'd love to also get parent/guardians' perspective on what would kind of resources they would like/find useful in supporting a child applying for this course?

I have no idea 😂😂. Is there a group on Facebook or something ? I'll let her know about it in case she doesn't. Be nice for her to see people she might be spending 5 years with.

The way to get onto the chats is for an admin to add her, so if you message www.facebook.com/isla.barrault asking to be added to the Bristol veterinary medicine chat and she should be able to add you .

We are still here! Just keeping everything crossed for next week. After all the hurdles our dc have jumped over to get their offers it seems particularly cruel that the final decision is so out of their hands. Good luck everyone 🙂

Great news !!! @Mum7400 ours will be together 😊. Maybe put them in touch ? My eldest at Nottingham has met a fellow medic because of MN. They send us photos of them at clubs (be a while before that happens again. But it will 😊).
