Hi a new thread with DC applying to Vet Med next year or for anyone with DC already studying who could pass on some words of wisdom!

My DD is looking to apply to Cambridge, Surrey, Nottingham and Bristol.
She has a fair amount of work experience arranged already and we will do the open day circuit next year.

That's great news re the Nottingham interview Bati.

Good luck to all Interviews at Liverpool this week. DD has 3 weeks to Cambridge and then 3 weeks to Notts on 07.01.

Seems like Nottingham like our kiddies ! Eldest DD is happy as means she can see her little sis on day of interview. She's at Nottingham and loving it - nightlife seems great and city is a good easy size. Trams and Uber make it very cheap to get about.

Liverpool interview done, now a little break before Nottingham which is good as the interview days are exhausting. Liverpool sent out an email asking applicants to choose their accommodation, which seems quite premature. Good luck to everyone with interviews coming up. 🙂

Dd has just got an interview for RVC 😊
She has been lucky and gotten an interview for all 4 of her choices.
First one is tomorrow at Liverpool which is her favourite x

DD has her Nottingham interview on 16th December. She’s currently planning a post A level holiday with her friends. Her last exam is 16th June. There’s a lot of stress to go through before then!

Liverpool ystday seemed positive - DD was told everyone would hear before Xmas. Still nothing back after Surrey iv on 21st and no word from HA or Bristol yet. Would be brilliant to have an offer before Xmas - would take a lot of the stress off! Hows everyone else doing ?

DD has no word on Bristol, she has Cambs interview on 18.12 and Notts not until 07.01. Having the Surrey offer does take the pressure off so she is very grateful for that. Hopefully there will be some more offers pre Xmas for those still waiting :)

Liverpool Monday and Nottingham on 17th (I think). Waiting to hear from RVC but seems only 2 dates given out so far so fingers crossed still some left. Bristol offer which is lovely and comforting (I'd prefer she didn't end up in London as it's too expensive).

Good luck everyone for the next few weeks. I really need to start thinking about Christmas soon.

Dd had her Liverpool interview yesterday. She thinks it went well, only time will tell.
Her next is rvc on the 11th December.
Then Nottingham 8th Jan and Edinburgh in February.
It would be nice to hear back from Liverpool before Xmas but then if its bad news maybe not x

I met a lovely group of parents yesterday at Harper Adams, what a really lovely bunch of kids. Well done everyone. I exchanged numbers with one mum and realised I'd given the wrong number...... she was thinking of writing a book on how to prepare for vet med a parents & child guide. That would be such a great tool just to know what to do and when to start.

Great news Mum7400, and it’s good to hear about the Harper interview. I live fairly close to Harper Adams, and my husband goes occasionally to guest lecture, so he keeps an eye on the progress of the building work.

Yeah love to see offers 😁😁. If someone had told us last year we would be in this position I think most of us would have been so much more relaxed !! DD just packing before heading off on the epic trip to Liverpool.

Applied to Nottingham and Bristol also, Nottingham interview on 17th . Its nerve wracking but exciting, we have heard nothing from Bristol yet

RVC interview. She'd just got back from
Liverpool and saw track had updated so was convinced it was a rejection. But they had put the interview invite on there !Hopefully they'll send her more info tomorrow. So all interviews done before Xmas. Bit stunned she's got them this quickly to be honest.
