Rose, Yippee was right. Seems Imperial has only sent first and small round of offers and usually the main round of offers is out after Xmas/new year holidays.
Please make your DS and yourself wait for it patiently.

I also left my DS alone today for the interviews and just standby myself to drive him then he needs/wants me.
Ended up he appreciated my company because of the snowy weather (he can travel safely and comfortably in my car), for the Timberland shoes I bought him (otherwise he would have slipped down many times walking on the icy floor), and also as all his classmates here refused to dinner with him tonight as they have to prepare for more interviews in coming days! I’m happy that I played the important standby/substitute role! We humble Parent’s!!

Will be leaving Oxford tmr after lunch! Would like to treat DS for a good lunch here before leaving, to reward him for his endeavours for all the uni applications!

Can someone suggest a good place for steak, or sushi at Oxford?

There's Sushi Corner on Cowley Road (also a couple of nice ice cream parlours if you wanted to go for dessert afterwards).

For steak either Byron on George Street or Oxford Grillhouse in Headington - or if you wanted something a bit more 'pub grub' try The Mitre on the High Street.

I recommend Brown's for steak. Excellent fillet and chips. Also, Quod on the high st does a very good 3 course set.

DD eventually came back and went for pizza with DH. She is now at the college and waiting for her first interview. She is happy with her room but just wants to get the interviews over and done with.

Oh and forgot to say that for those waiting to hear from Imperial - she has an offer from Imperial as do a few of her friends. She went for an early interview for her course - which may have helped.

Well done all those DC interviewing this week, with the added stress of bad weather! When are the last interviews?

Update after DD's 2 interviews. She didn't think she did that great. She got confused with some of the questions and whilst she said the interviewers were really kind, she didn't feel she created a great impression with them. She seems just pleased to get them over with really but now has to hang around until tomorrow to see if she will get a pool interview.

I think a lot of them come out thinking the same Dancingdreamer - I know my DD thought of loads of good things she wished she'd said after every single interview!

DD felt exactly the same. She'll have to hang around tomorrow too, to see if she is needed anywhere else. I think they said they'd let them know by 10.30.

We are a bit head in the sand with it now, best not to try and dwell on it too much once it’s done. (except I have a little tiny count down clock in my head going on)

I have been told by DD that when she comes back I am "NOT ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT OXFORD AT ALL"

2 down one more to go tomorrow . Should be on her way back tomorrow night. She's not at all sure how it went but has had a good time

Dancingdreamer I felt the same last week and people on this thread were so supportive. It was such a relief to get DS home and get on with normal life. We are not talking about it either but staying busy getting ready for Christmas. Things will fall back into perspective for you too and we must not lose sight of how wonderful our DC are.

Did your DS have the extra interviews at another college Hubble, if you don't mind my asking, or did he redo them at the original college (which sometimes happens)?

Did he like the second college Hubble - as in, would he be nearly as happy to have an offer from that college rather than the first?

He clearly didn't mess up anyhow, despite the gloom!

Yes my dd has get last one today. Hopefully home tonight. Been a long 3 days

DD has her (I think) final one this morning. A different college, completely different, but she’d be happy there too I think. I’ll be glad to have her home. So strange to think that in a few short months they’ll be away for weeks at a time.
