How's everyone feeling? My dd was pretty much able to forget about results during July but said in a very quiet voice this morning, "I'll find out this month where I'm going."

Is anyone doing anything yet in preparation for 17th? Should we be doing anything yet in preparation for 17th?!

I should say contact their college only if their grades show they've missed their offer.
If they have their grades they are in, and track will update later to show this.

My DS is off to Liverpoool. Pleased for him. Good luck to everyone on this thread🍸

yolofish · 17/08/2017 07:57

Lucysky2017 · 17/08/2017 07:57

Congratulations to all. The one of mine who has just got up has not checked yet on track but says his friend got in to where he wanted!

cowgirlsareforever · 17/08/2017 07:58

He'll have a wonderful time in Liverpool Start
DN got into her insurance. Firm was always going to be a big ask. I think she's pleased.

Hugs those with places unknown or in the balance. My DD decided last night she wanted me to go to work as normal - not planning to check track til 9 as school doesn't open til 10....

ImListening · 17/08/2017 08:00

All As here so delighted!

Blogwoman · 17/08/2017 08:01

Duh - also meant to type CONGRATS to those with good news!

titchy · 17/08/2017 08:01

GrinDropped a grade but firm (Exeter) still said yes!

Jugglingballs65 · 17/08/2017 08:02

He's up, just checking on track...gulp

stonecircle · 17/08/2017 08:06

ImListening · 17/08/2017 08:32

Congratulations to all

newpup · 17/08/2017 08:45

DD1 refused to check UCAS this am! Went into school for 8am with DH. Grades lower than offer she was distraught BUT..... then checked UCAS and they accepted her anyway! Yippee!

Congratulations to everyone else.

DimsieMaitland · 17/08/2017 08:50

No idea of grades yet but DD's place at Cambridge has been confirmed. I will sleep tonight.

Sidge · 17/08/2017 08:51

Well done everyone!

DD got her Firm place, off into school shortly to collect results. I'm so relieved - I was more anxious about her results than I ever was about my own!

Today is the earliest she's been up all summer 😁

user9512736123 · 17/08/2017 08:55

well done everybody.
Smashed it here - offer was a contextual AAB but got the A*AA that they normally ask for. The firm choice have confirmed the place, we found out from Track before going to 6th form.

Fingers crossed for everybody still waiting.

Eve · 17/08/2017 09:00

loughborough all confirmed for DS. - hes gone back to bed!

RedHelenB · 17/08/2017 09:04

A* A B B. Going to get maths remarked just because two papers were unexpectedly low.

Lucysky2017 · 17/08/2017 09:06

Both twins got into Bristol (they needed A*AA and AAB) and are about to drive to school if one of them ever gets ready that is..... to find out the grades.

I am very relieved, most of all that they both managed it. If both failed that would not have been to me such an issue (lots of people do fine with back ups and in clearing and indeed even if they don't go to university). If one did and the other not it would have been very hard so I am very pleased.

Travelledtheworld · 17/08/2017 09:08

Well done Lucy it must be tough having two of them to worry about, they will enjoy Bristol.

Travelledtheworld · 17/08/2017 09:10

Unfortunately my DD came in at 8am looking very grim. Hasn't been accepted by either of her choices ( though they were both the same grade, she didn't really have an insurance choice).

She's gone through to clearing and is being very sensible about it. Drawn up a shortlist, got some questions ready etc.

Incitatis · 17/08/2017 09:16

A* A A and he's in to Oxford 😀

Mytimenow · 17/08/2017 09:27

Congratulations on everyone's results, hard for parents and DC not getting what they wanted but hopefully they'll get what they want in clearing or year out. Seems as things are far more stressful for our young uns.
DS1 got his first choice accommodation so all a bit real now, we'll have to start an empty nesters come September,I'll bring the 🍷

cowgirlsareforever · 17/08/2017 09:41

What is she hoping to study Travelled?

Blogwoman · 17/08/2017 09:46

Hope she gets something she's happy with through Clearing Travelled. Congrats to more Paps on their good news. My DD is into her firm choice - so relieved! Now she's off to school find out grades.
