Maybe because it is August tomorrow - but seems to have come round quickly. Had a nice break not thinking about anything since last exam and after full on year choosing, applying, getting rejected, getting offers etc....

Might as well switch off and try and get distracted for the next 18 days....as either way it will be v busy few days/weeks after results to get started on next phase of his life.

PFB -- any old hands out there want to give me a slap?

DD got AAA so she's off to her first choice! So proud!! Just hope she gets the halls she wanted now!!!

Needmoresleep · 18/08/2016 07:44

Poole, just wow. He can continue to recover and then go off and have a fab gap year knowing he has the place he wants. I am so pleased, and I don't know him. You must be more than delighted.

DD has the results she needs but was frustratingly one UMS short of the grade boundary in two subjects. I am hoping those 2 UMS went to good homes.

hennipenni · 18/08/2016 07:44

Just told DD track is open- she's refusing to look!

Well done to all the DC's whatever the grades and good luck to those still waiting x

Dunlurking · 18/08/2016 07:45

Some fantastic results on here. Well done to all. Good luck those still waiting and those in limbo with results not quite meeting their offer. Hope those going into clearing find some good courses. Cake to everyone after the tough night we've had.

Ds just gone in and texted AAB and A EPQ so has made his Warwick offer. Huge relief. Will be interesting to see how closely he scraped the B in Maths.

Needmoresleep · 18/08/2016 07:46

Sorry Popple not Poole!

EllenJanethickerknickers · 18/08/2016 07:46

Well done everyone! Poppledopple it was meant to be!

Needmoresleep · 18/08/2016 07:46

And great news Dunlurking!

EllenJanethickerknickers · 18/08/2016 07:48

Well done Dunlurking's DS. See you at Warwick!

hairymairyfromthedairy · 18/08/2016 07:48

Dying to wake mine up but if he checks track & didn't get in it's a long wait for school opening at 9!! Feel very very sick

Janjanmama · 18/08/2016 07:48

Dd goes to her insurance. We think she got AAC or A*AC. This C made her reject from her firm.

useyourimagination · 18/08/2016 07:48

logged on to Track at 7.30 - don't know DD's grades but she's got her first choice :) :) :)

She's so happy she's shaking.

Good luck to everyone else.

Dunlurking · 18/08/2016 07:48

Thanks needmore. Well done to your dd. Lovely that resits won't blight her gap year.

Just5minswithDacre · 18/08/2016 07:49

DS has his firm!

Very relieved.

Killing time now until we can pick up the actual grades.

Not a word online from his friends yet.

flyright · 18/08/2016 07:53

Well done everyone. What wonderful DDs and DS's we have. Mines off to her first choice of Leeds. We want to know what her grades were though and schools not open until 9

Still it's a huge relief.

Stillunexpected · 18/08/2016 07:53

Thank you for the congratulations everyone (DS's really and not mine!). The A* is in the subject he wants to study and the C doesn't seem to have affected anything as he has logged on to track and got his first choice. Huge relief all round. Well done to everyone who is happy, courage to those who are still waiting and commiserations to those who haven't quite made it.

Nonotthatagain · 18/08/2016 07:53

DD2 got her first choice, so relieved. Not getting actual results until 9 when DD3 can get her AS results.

TranquilityofSolitude · 18/08/2016 07:53

Some great results here - well done to everyone!

DD has her first choice! Now off to school to find out how she actually did - now that it seems less important it would just be good to know.

kath6144 · 18/08/2016 07:54

Turns out DS already awake and checked track at 7.36! Anyway he has his firm, Liverpool, so I can drive to work happy now! Wont know results till after 9 but largely irrelevant

electricflyzapper · 18/08/2016 07:54

No idea of my ds's results but thanks to you lovely ladies I knew he could go on to track and after faffing about, forgetting his password etc, he finally got on and has been accepted to his first choice, Durham, for which he needed the seemingly impossible grades of A A A. So massive thrills and excitement here. So bloody bloody HAPPY for him!!!

Well done to all with offers, good luck to all who are still waiting. Extra good luck to all who will have to put plan B into action today. I've been there with ds1. Believe me, it will work out.

Shakirasma · 18/08/2016 07:56

Dd got her firm, tears all round. Just about to drop her at the train station so she can go to college to get her actual grades.

flyright · 18/08/2016 07:57

We cried too ! DD still cool. Wants to hear her grades before she gets really pleased. She knows it's possible Leeds took her with a slip or two.

smilingeyes11 · 18/08/2016 08:04

My DD got into her first choice uni for law - over the moon. I sobbed.

buckingfrolicks · 18/08/2016 08:04

DS got his firm thank heavens, huge relief and just enjoying that feeling of stress ebbing away

I'm so pleased for all those good outcomes so far - well done !!

hairymairyfromthedairy · 18/08/2016 08:06

Anyone else's Track not been updated yet?

GreatPointIAgreeWithYouTotally · 18/08/2016 08:06

Have been lurking here and thanks to you all I could now get my PhD in Clearing! Luckily not required as DD had got confirmation of first choice. Will bank the know how for the other 3 who will follow in quick succession.
