Maybe because it is August tomorrow - but seems to have come round quickly. Had a nice break not thinking about anything since last exam and after full on year choosing, applying, getting rejected, getting offers etc....

Might as well switch off and try and get distracted for the next 18 days....as either way it will be v busy few days/weeks after results to get started on next phase of his life.

PFB -- any old hands out there want to give me a slap?

Oh I've just realised its not after 8 yet!
DD has just said her uni, Queens in Belfast, shows whether you have a place from 7 on their own website.

feltcarrot · 18/08/2016 07:21

DD has just left to get hers, apparently lots of parents are going to the school too but she has bravely gone on her own! She needs A*AA for her course,. Feeling sick now!

Cocolepew · 18/08/2016 07:21

Thats great results StillUnexpected.

flyright · 18/08/2016 07:23

Track not up

School not open until 9

Waiting waiting. DD watching old Disney channel programmes she liked when she was 10 to keep calm GrinGrin

Great results but how frustrating to still be waiting. Fingers crossed.

smilingeyes11 · 18/08/2016 07:23

Wow well done - fab grades Stillunexpected.

Janjanmama · 18/08/2016 07:23

This A* is powerful StillUnexpected. Congrats!

EllenJanethickerknickers · 18/08/2016 07:24

Well done those with results already! Stillunexpected* Unless the C is in a critical subject, I'd guess he has a very good chance of his place, he's one grade up on his offer. Smile

Hassled · 18/08/2016 07:26

If it's a No on tracking at 8 that wait until 9.30 for results is going to seem interminable - I wish the school started things earlier. And we seem to be collecting more and more of DS's friends along the drive to school to the point that it will be some sort of clown car with teenagers bursting out by the time we get there.

EllenJanethickerknickers · 18/08/2016 07:26

DS needs AAA for his firm choice, AAA for insurance. Maths always ask for high grades because enough DC get them in maths. Must get dressed and stop MNing...

Hassled · 18/08/2016 07:27

I'm sure they'd take him with A* AC - unless the C is the subject he wants to study? Those are fantastic results.

homebythesea · 18/08/2016 07:28

DS got exactly what he needed! A mixed bag of individual paper marks, but saved by his amazing AS last year. DH ringing the hospital so MIL will know as soon as we do. Oh the relief......

poppledopple · 18/08/2016 07:30

let me know when UCAS track is live please....!! DS said he will check at 8 and I am not pester - but if track is up I will nag.....

OP posts:
Ginmere · 18/08/2016 07:31

Track is open! My DS has been accepted by Birmingham!

Peebles1 · 18/08/2016 07:32

Ahhh brilliant Home. So glad for your DS and you of course!

Hassled Grinat the bursting teenage clown car!! We have the same timings here. DD said not to wake her till 9. I suppose that's fine given she can't get actual results till 9.30, but I've been up since 6!!

Well done to the results so far on here. Those that missed offers still look like they have some good grades, so fingers crossed.

EllenJanethickerknickers · 18/08/2016 07:33

Track is up! DS has his first choice, Warwick! Ahhhh! Wonder if he has AAA?

poppledopple · 18/08/2016 07:34

My son says it is still not open,,,,???

NapoleonsNose · 18/08/2016 07:35

DD just checked Track and is off to her firm. Just need the results now. Needed ABB.

blinkowl · 18/08/2016 07:36

Working on the clearing lines here so I'm on the other side of this!

Good luck everyone :)

Peebles1 · 18/08/2016 07:36

Woo Hoo Ellen and Ginmere!! Go celebrate!!

poppledopple · 18/08/2016 07:38

He has got his insurance -- so v v delighted!!! as wanted to change to that anyway - soooo pleased.

OP posts:
mateysmum · 18/08/2016 07:38

DD has his insurance confirmed so he missed AAA but got at least ABB.

Hassled · 18/08/2016 07:39

Many congratulations! I'm hanging on till 8 till I wake him - if I can cope for the next 21 minutes.

homebythesea · 18/08/2016 07:39

Amazeballs popple

I'm a firm believer in things working out for a reason!

For those that have had near misses I send good vibes and strength

thepurplehen · 18/08/2016 07:40

Hassled - I'm doing the same here. Ds is sound asleep having stayed up til 2am.

I'm a bundle of nerves.

kath6144 · 18/08/2016 07:43

Well done on all results os far, some fantastic grades, hope others get results/places they want.

I am like Hassled - waiting till nearer 8 to wake DS but its killing me. Trying to eat breakfast but v difficult

I normally work at home on Thursday but sods law says it would be today I have a rare meeting in office (and a full day one at that!). Am praying that we know his destination from track and I dont have to wait till he goes into school at 9.

Have put DH on standby to come home early if help with clearing needed!
