A level Results - 18 days - anxiety rising....anyone else??

Maybe because it is August tomorrow - but seems to have come round quickly. Had a nice break not thinking about anything since last exam and after full on year choosing, applying, getting rejected, getting offers etc....

Might as well switch off and try and get distracted for the next 18 days....as either way it will be v busy few days/weeks after results to get started on next phase of his life.

PFB -- any old hands out there want to give me a slap?

I have drunk enough coffee plus tea this morning... Dd will try to call her school at 7:30 for the results. Hope the line will work well. And do hope all DCs here will get what they want.

DD has got 3 C's, she needed a B in accounting and overall is 4 UMS off so she is going to ask for remarks. She's not sure what she will do now as she isn't going to uni but she has a job offer on the condition she got a B in accounting. It's going to be a long wait waiting for the remark!

Just posted on the other thread. About plan B! Ds2 needed BBB got BCD. All very disappointed here.

Morning all. Been awake since 4.50 and now just waiting for Track to open at 8. Nervous in an understatement!

Everyone else in the house including DS appears to be sound asleep - I was awake on and off right through the night. He can't go into school till 9.30 and apparently I shouldn't wake him till 8 for Tracking so I have a while to kill. The best of luck, everyone.

I've been awake since 5 waiting for the results to be released to teachers! Thinking of all the students and parents- it's such a stressful day.

DD has got BBC, she needed BBB so we'll have to wait to see if her choice of uni will take that.
She's happy with her result, I think she thought her ICT would be lower than a C.

I hardly slept last night. Stomach churning. DS needs 3AAAs for his firm. I think that is a stretch. School not open till 8.30. The agony will be sitting outside till he tells me the news and then possible clearing panic.

Ds grades needed for firm and insurance are both ambitious. He seems positive and I've been trying to get him to think about plan b, but he hasn't really.

His school doesn't open until 9, so it will be a long hour if track says he hasn't been accepted by either.

Is that on UCAS it is showing pending? No email from her uni yet?

How can you see it's pending Coco? Track is still closed. Do you have a secret code?

Dd needs AAA too, for medicine. She doesn't seem to be up yet. I feel a bit sick.

Just gave half my breakfast to the dog. Can't eat

DS was eating breakfast and getting ready for work when I got up, I had to remind him that it was today and school were emailing! Then it turned out that when they said they would email at 6 a.m. they actually meant around 7 a.m.! My heart can't take this. Finally got the email, he needed ABB and got A*AC. Generally very relieved but not sure if his uni will accept the lower grade in one subject. So the waiting goes on......
