My UCAS has gone today! eek. Ive already had my track details and checked twice (only went an hour ago!)

I heard on Tuesday that our Uni has finished selection for interview and are in the process of letting people know. I have been watching my postman like a hawk all week

Letter came this morning. Now the admission lady from Uni said small letters are generally a no and large letters an invite. Well my heart nearly stopped when I saw a small letter from Uni

Until I opened it and saw the parking permit. With an invite for an interview

I am so happy. I have just over a month to prepare and read all the links they have sent. time for some interview clothes shopping

I got unsuccessful from my first choice yesterday. I was a bit gutted but as husband pointed out Cardiff is such a good uni. I was basing first choice on how local it is.

Still one to hear from but I think I will firm Cardiff I'm going to be a student child nurse waaaahhhhh

I'm excited and nervous! My offer changed to unconditional this week I'm bought my placement shoes already

Mine is still conditional until my GCSE maths result arrives at the end of the week, I'm getting impatient and anxious

I just remembered about this thread, I am getting really anxious. I am so excited, but worried about money and dd got an appointment through for the weds that I start uni on the mon. I have emailed uni though and they are fine about it. I am waiting for 2 weeks of rota from my job and that will be it, so 9 weeks till I start. I handed my notice in last week. got an nhs p interview next week and just doing the on line training for that is keeping me busy.
What stationary you been buying? Our first placement is community so I get the whole of christmas week off this year :)

I've bought a few files. Had a family crisis here this week so that's taken over. I've bought placement shoes though.

Woohoo my GCSE maths result came, 185 out of 200 so I passed with a C. My offer has been changed to unconditional now too so I'm ecstatic!

I haven't bought anything yet, I'm getting married in 12 days so need to get that out of the way first, then I can't wait to start stationery shopping!

Monday was very long and lots of hanging around but yesterday and today have been brilliant. Signed up to a union today, had uniform fittings, joined nursing society and had first A&P lecture which all went well. If it wasn't for a long commute it would all be perfect but it's a small price to pay for hoping a better standard of life for my family in three years time. How are you getting on?

Similar really. Fitted for uniform on thurs and long boring week really no actual real lectures yet. Also joined unions and nursesoc :)

Long commute has completely knackered me out though I'm in bed for 9 every night. Slept for two hours this afternoon and still inbed early lol my freshers night out was a Chinese last night with the girls we were picked up at half 9 and struggled through three drinks

Glad it's not just me then that's Knackered, I've been snoring within seconds of getting into bed. University is only about 45 miles from my house but due to park and ride etc it's an hour and three quarter commute. It's really made me appreciate this weekend off though I'm off on honeymoon next Friday after lectures, hope I can stay awake long enough to appreciate any of it

My uni is about 45 mins too but due to traffic we have to leave at 7 otherwise we get stuck in it and our start time is 9am everyday!
