I had a psychology assignment like that two but we had to choose two perspectives, describe them and critically evaluate them :)

Thanks mamicar. Thought i killed your thread then Blush
Just sent off the reference request. Having a bit of a wibble and feeling whats the point im not gonna get accepted. Im only applying to two unis, but thought maybe i should apply for the full 5 to improve my chances? What do people think?

mamicar · 10/12/2013 05:40

I've had that wobble. depends on the travelling distance I suppose. think about driving home after a night shift Grin

I only applied for one due to my location, I know it lessens my chances a great deal but it just wasn't viable to apply elsewhere. If I can't get in this year I want to apply for a HCA job and then reapply next year.

themonsteratemyspacebar · 10/12/2013 10:49

Thats a good point. Thank you ladies. I have 2 very near me but manchester, edge hill and liverpool are all only an hour away. But i get stressed going to big cities and driving there so putting me off a little.
But at the same time they could be the places that accept me in what i want to do!!! Argh!

mamicar · 12/12/2013 10:36

someone else in my class had a straight decline too Sad.

you guys still around? My reference has finally been sent off so waiting to hear about the pgdip now. Been trying to read bits and bobs in the recent news but everything just relates to the francis report and ends up reading a bit daily mailish. Think you can link any cchanges in nursing at the moment to the francis report though so worth spending a bit of tme looking at.

mamicar · 14/01/2014 21:18

still here Smile.

no news on my end though. few of my college friends have had interviews and said to study Francis report in my sleep!

Tiredemma · 21/01/2014 08:20

OOOh this thread just caught my eye. Good luck to you all.

This was very much me 9 years ago. I started an Access to Health Studies course at my local college (part time- one day a week for two years). Applied to two local Universities and was lucky enough to get offers at both.
Started my nursing degree in Sept 2006- it was challenging, no doubt about it. Make sure you are organised- dont leave assignments till the last minute because having to cram an essay whilst on a placement is hard!

Graduated in 2009 (graduation was AMAZING)- Managed to get the first job I applied for (in a field that I was really interested in). Love my job- its the best job in the world.

Massive 'Good Luck' to you all
Smile
