Night DEM x

Had to make a mad flippin dash to DS1's school to take him his keys and lunch money .

As he was going out of the door at 8.10 I said to him have you got your bus pass, keys and money? His reply in a huffy get off my back kinda way.. YES MUM. Cue at 8.45 a phonecall from him asking if I could get his stuff to the office. If this had of been last week when I started work at 9.00am then he would have had to do without lunch and wait on the doorstep until DH walks in at 5.00pm.

Pah, bloody kids.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 06/07/2010 10:09

Morning all,
still got cold so felling crap, DD is at home today as she had a bad night.

I am Fanny, I have LOADS to lose but it is not going anywhere quickly.

Oh and I start my job on Monday, yep the odd hour or 2 a week is starting with 9.30 to 5.30 on Monday.

Lizzylou · 06/07/2010 10:22

Blimey Fanny, that's not a part time stat to the day, is it? Good luck

Alice, I don't know about back to back labours, have heard it is uncomfortable when you are pg with em back to back. Have they said if you could do anything to make little Fred move a bit?
I know when DS2 was breech I was on all fours with my belly hanging down rocking backwards and forwards to get him to turn round (what my MW suggested, I wasn't just behaving like a crazy pg lady!).

Don't worry, they will monitor you well as you had a c/s last time, you'll be grand.

Bella, this house is like that, with DH as well. I have gone to barely being able to organise myself to having to organise 3 males AND myself. Grrr.

Hope you get some sleep, DEM.

Duble have they caught him? He is v scary.

I thought that Double, blimey.

Mouseface · 06/07/2010 10:39

Morning, tis me Mouseface.

Alice - When is your next MW appt? I was the same with DS by the time I hit 35 weeks, he was wedged in there so him moving was really uncomfortable! They just run out of room!

Bella - it's called selective hearing. DD is the same. 'Have you got x?' 'Yeah,' whilst rolling her eyes at me.

Then 10 seconds later, 'mum, where's x?'

Fanny - aw, sorry you had a rough night with DD and are still poorly. Is the job a good or bad thing?

Night DEM.

IIRC, one of the Shineys told NC on the RB thread to 'fuck off and die'? or was it piss off? Anyway, it's (the fact that NC was told to FO/PO) being slated this morning on a new thread!

Do some folks have nothing better to do?

Seriously, the world has gone mad! Why do people always start a 'where did that thread go' thread??!!!

DeFluffy · 06/07/2010 11:08

oh for gods sake, it was me that said that i'll go check out new thread.

NormaSknockers · 06/07/2010 11:11

Morning all

Back from DDs settling in sessions, she seems to be getting on ok, last one on Thursday where she goes alone

So, how are we all?

DEM hope you get some rest

Bella good job you were able to drop the things into DS, he'll listen to you next time (hopefully!)

Fanny sorry about your rotten cold hope it clears up soon, what's the new job doing? Heck of a long day for a few odd hours!

Alice have you got a birthing ball? If not get yourself one of those gym balls from Argos, not very expensive, & sit on that. Keep your back upright & gently rotate your hips that should help sift Fred into the correct position

Double what's happening? You ok?

Morning Mouse, how's the recording of DS being sick going?

Alicetheinvisible · 06/07/2010 11:40

Ooh thanks for the tip Norma

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 06/07/2010 11:55

Have shredded and done 10 mins belly workout.

DH is working today, and I'm in tonight - I think I will have a peaceful day.

Friend is coming round for lunch in a bit, so I may not eat briliiantly today, but no booze and exercise should help.

Belly work out you say Bitter? What does that involve? No matter how weight I lose I still look pregnant

Bloody hell Double, has that been going on long? Are you anywhere near where the shooter is?

Anytime Alice, if I still had mine I would have sent it to you! They're not very expensive though thankfully

Alicetheinvisible · 06/07/2010 12:18

Very cheap in Argos, and if i have another night like last night i may need it. Was needing to go into town today but couldn't get motivated, now have an extra reason. I need to get some hair accessory/hat for ladies day on thurs, paracetamol and a gymball - what a combination!

NormaSknockers · 06/07/2010 12:28

It's certainly an interesting shopping list Alice I used mine alot used to sit on it most evenings & it was fab during labour to bounce up & down on.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 06/07/2010 12:30

Mouse - Job is a good thing but is meant to bae as and when ours, I am guessing that this will be a training day.

Lizzylou · 06/07/2010 12:40

Oh yes, gym ball, forgot that.
Was fab, Alice, great tip Norma.
I fondly remember being in early stages of labour with DS2, bouncing on my birthing ball, laughing my head off at 8 out of 10 Cats and pressing the Tens Machine when I needed to. I had a much speedier labour with DS2 and am sure being so comfy and relaxed helped. And being snowed in and having to walk up a steep hill to the car (singing Little Donkey and giggling like a loon for some reason, I did hate being pg )

Bitter, that abs blaster DVD is great, it has realy helped me with the Shred DVD, I can now do the planks and side planks that I couldn't do at all a few weeks ago.

Norma, it is 10minute solution, Blast off Belly Fat, cheap from Amazon. 5 x10min workouts, v good.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 06/07/2010 12:42

Norma, really exciting, inputting new library stock onto their computer system.

Alicetheinvisible · 06/07/2010 12:43

Lizzy Can see how it would help early labour. Was going to try to get some funny DVD;s for the same reason, but the problem with comedians stand up dvds is once you have seen them once you don't want to watch them again. Thinking of recording off the telly or youtube.

Lizzylou · 06/07/2010 12:43

Norma

This one

It's v good.

jetcat · 06/07/2010 12:45

double - its all just so so sad, and very very scary though, that poor poor traffic police man If i lived up there, there is no way kids would be at school we would be behind the sofa

Good luck for Monday fanny, you will be fine

I am having an absolute nightmare with junior's school, have posted on secondary education thread, but think peeps are ignoring me

Would anyone care to help me write a letter to Senco, which i need to cc Headteacher in, and head of year, so basically going above head of year's head, but so it doesnt piss her off? I have been talking to IPSEA and apparantly thats what i need to do, but i am so worried about confrontation i am stalling i think
