TBH Lizzy - i am probably suffering a combination of burn out and infected hayfever. I am much better then I was yesterday and the day before and hadnt got to the point where I would have been able to convince the doc to give me antibiotics. Spending all of yesterday asleep and most of the day before really helped. And I have spent the day lying in bed crafting so minimal activity going on. I might even get to cross a UFO off the list... but we'll see. Am resting as much as possible this week and boy free next week as his dad is taking him out of school for his holiday. So will have plenty of chance to rest if needed. Ds has been a saint though despite being up til gone 10pm every night this week.

So i plugged into lego website and let him play until about 5 mins. He got a treat and I got peace and quiet works nicely for both of us. only another hour before bedtime. Thank goodness for tomorrow night and sleep meds. Although no skating. poorly people not allowed to go skating. And I actually dont mind as the thought of having to stand up for that long is too much. So curl up in bed with some tv or DVD's is the plan.

Jaq - Woohoo for the fighting talking. you can you will!!!!!

ID - I have ferral child too. I put it down to being a sign of him having a good time and the mud being an important right of passage of childhood.

Bella - yum coffee creams.

Lizzylou · 08/07/2010 21:02

Oh OK then Mycat, I have sponsored you to get down to 13stone then, simples
HOnestly, you've done so well and your commutes sound hellish, give yourself a break. Have a nice meet up with Crispy, she spoke VERY highly of you me lovely.

Dem, Lego website is good, isn't it? Have taken your lead and have got some Carol Vorderman Science workbooks which the boys are loving going through (and I am learning into the bargain ), I also went through the World Cup 16 into 1/4 finals, into semis into finals with DS1 yesterday as he is football mad. Due to the World cup he can read Uruguay etc and knows loads of flags, who knew it culd be so educational???

Gawd this Chablis is goodstuff, far better than Spar's own

DeFluffy · 08/07/2010 21:06

Ooo is Carol Voderman good then?? I saw some of her books the other day, off to google.

Im about to spend $4million in Yellow Moon and other such places buying things to keep dd 'amused' during the holidays.

Last time she'd got through 8 craft kits in one day. Not because she was particularly good but because she kept opening them doing half getting bored and opening another. Not this time matey!!

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 08/07/2010 21:09

Ah Lizzy, you are a star! 13st it is then!

That's nice of Crispy. She is a lovely woman herself.

Hi Mouseface, how are you. I've just been reading your advice on that poor woman fairgodmothers thread. Sounds like he's having an affair to me.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 08/07/2010 21:10

May I ask a question?

I am having 3 fillings done tomorrow (Eek! )and DH has just informed me there may be drilling involved.

Is this true, is he winding me up or is it a clumsy attempt at seducing me?

Ds doesnt like then but then again his favourite books are GCSE/A level standard freak child Not looked at them tbh honest. Looked at her english and maths ones and they didnt suit ds but he was pre school at the time.

Defluff I used enchanted learning alot. It has printable worksheets on almost everything at every standard. Including make and do type activities. This year ds has just discovered the Dinosaur cove series of books. He loves them although they have to be a joint reading exercise. Which means I suspect we shall be doing the library reading challenge again this summer.

Also I have the mean habit of scheduling him into activities. He no likely he get to play in room. Simples. Eg monday: backgarden, baking, colouring, lego, cleaning the bathtub, find laundry. In any order. Some just for fun some to help.

Mouseface · 08/07/2010 21:14

MyCat - yep, I think so too which is horrid. Was my advice ok then? I never know just how 'honest' to be so go for it and hope it's not to much.

You go girl re the 13st! You can do it!! We'll all help by insisting you send any chocolate or wine here for us to look after!

I'm okay thanks, plodding along..... DS is still the same re vomiting. Just waiting for DD to get back from a singing event!!

All showbiz here you know!

DidEinsteinsMum · 08/07/2010 21:15

lordy it took so long to type that you all descended into other things. Got to go chaos is descending......

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 08/07/2010 21:16

AAARGH! That was what I was afraid of.

But still, @ Lizzy and double.

You lot must be wearing away a layer of my prudish exterior.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 08/07/2010 21:20

Ooh, DEM, I have just bought DS the Dinosaur Cove books. They have the set for a tenner at the Book People if that's any help?

Am I really mean that I'm glad when Hells doesn't log on in the evenings because in my head that means she is watching Prison Break?

Alicetheinvisible · 08/07/2010 21:20

Just a quick post to say hello.

Today was fab, won £30 on the first race but by the end of the day only ended up £1 up each (we all put in £10 at the start and came home with £11 each ) I am tired and a bit burnt I did straighten my hair but not very well so it ended up being up anyway, but a bit sleeker looking.

Fanny - thanks again for footsoak, it is fab!

Bed now i think, night lovelies

I am sorry Bitter, he is telling the truth

MyCat - I am same as Lizzy, I will sponsor you to get to 13st.

Have been on the phone to our Leader, she says hi to you all. She is really really busy at work with new teaching staff starting, new intakes, uniforms etc etc.

Hi Jaq, well done for going back to slimming world.

How is Jet? does anyone know?

Mouseface · 08/07/2010 21:22

Bitter!!

Sorry you're wibbling at the drilling tomorrow.

OP posts:
bellavita · 08/07/2010 21:22

Oh Fanny, that ain't good sleeping on the floor

Am glad you had a nice day Alice.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 08/07/2010 21:23

Mouse, seemed fine to me. I think she was up for honest, poor woman!

I'm at 13st now, just can't seem to get past it! Thanks for the offer on looking after the wine and chocolate, very generous of you

Lizzylou · 08/07/2010 21:24

Bitter, it will be fine! Honest.

DEM, he is scarily bright your boy, good for him. BOth boys have moments of brilliance where I think, hang on, off to the G&T threads I go, then are amazing dense about the simplest of things. They are average for their ages I think. They just like us all doing stuff together.

Mouse, another showbiz household here....
