Umm.. yes Norma, erm nothing that I think you would have any interest in. xx

((Mouse)), ahh sweetheart , our pasts ricochet through the present don't they? Much love xx

And lady pain banishing vibes for wasting..

Forgot to say fab about your cheque Crispy. well deserved.

Lizzylou · 08/07/2010 13:05

Hello lovelies

Work has gone very busy this morning, which can only be a good thing!

Norma, I am giving up my Saturday because A) It is shite B) I want my weekends back C) It is shite D)DS2 won't need a Childminder so will have more cash, he will be at school and E) It is shite!

Mouse, hope you find some relief my fellow moral recruiter, have you tried those wheat pillow things you heat in the microwave?

Mittz, bless your DD and her serene smile, and your DS being very conscientious about stray towels

V glad that Fluffy's arse is ok

I need to shred but don't fancy it for some reason, give me a kick!

Mouseface · 08/07/2010 13:18

Wasting - with you on that one re the lady pains. I'm always like at how much it hurts each month!

It's like labour isn't it? You 'forget' until you do it again! Maybe that's it? Maybe we're built that way otherwise we'd all be having sex changes or our wombs removed!!!!

Mittz - yes. You're right. I think that because of past events, I never really settle at night. I always sleep on the side of the bed nearest the door. I have for many years.

Bed is supposed to be a safe haven too. Not for me. There are nights I'm totally fine and others when I feel so exposed and vunerable!

Lizzy - I have tried the wheat thingys...... helped me to get to sleep but not stay asleep which is what I feel I need.

I wake at stupid o'clock after feeling fine, drifting off, all relaxed and then bang! Restless, anixous, brain kicks in. I can hear my heart pounding some nights and that really gets to me. Especially if DS is alseep. I feel cheated that I'm missing vital minutes/hours of rest..........

Lizzy (again) - workwise..... Ann? Your lovely viewing lady? I'm as to what she does in recruitment? That's why I thought you were an estate agent? Do you have to work Saturdays in your office? Busy in recruitment at this time of year is good. Summer used to be quieter for us.

My brain is not computing today.

MrMouse managed to get last night's sunset here in our garden.

I love summer evenings.

i think lizzy does estate agency on saturdays. if she doesnt ive been labouring under a false impression for months!

right - dont feel great but nowhere near as bad as yesterday. think that means it has to be the salad or the salad cream. which is it more likely to be and why?

vinny - if you're around ive put something in the post for you

hells - ditto (obviously )

Sorry Mouse, I have my own business (working from home, have a business partner who works form his home, he funded us) in Legal Recruitment, which is what I did pre-DS's. Been set up 20mths and set up in the recession so not really making cash to take out of the business yet, though things are picking up. I started at the estate agents as a Saturday job 3 years ago, loved it as it got me out of the house, was a Sahm and I had my own money for fags makeup, nights out etc, got a bit reliant on the money so kept on with it as own biz wasn't giving me any income.
I know it is v confusing!

Lizzylou · 08/07/2010 13:51

Oh and I want lady pains, I don't want to be changing tampons in a tent in France (obv I'd go to the loo, but you know what I mean...)

I love your opening line too, Mouse, it's your quirk and it's good

Meant to say, v pleased you got your cheque oh Crispy arms.

Have done Level 3 shred and now need a shower before school run, was a beeatch today.

Thanks Lizzy, makes perfect sense now. So you're giving up the Saturday estate agent role then?

Hope your own biz picks up. MrMouse has been solo for a good 9 years. Still picks up lots of new clients but it's assignment based, as opposed to 1000's of candidates on a database all gathering dust.

NormaSknockers · 08/07/2010 13:56

Oh bum Mittz - I posted something to you yesterday 1st class but I used this stupid new system in the Post Office where you weigh the item yourself, print off the postage label & post it & I was a bit nervous about it. Had hoped being 1st class it would reach you today - bum!

Lizzylou · 08/07/2010 13:59

Have done so, Mouse!
Hope it goes soon...
Off for a shower.

TrillianAstra · 08/07/2010 14:01

If you have asked MNHQ then they are probably having lunch, but asking multiple times won't do anything.

Also it doesn't go to your hotmail account. It goes to MSN. It shows you your hotmail account because you are logged in on your computer. If I were logged into hotmail it would show that I had my account, not yours.

DeFluffy · 08/07/2010 14:01

DOnt think it works like that mouse, think its your cookies that are letting you see that, i can see the photo but not your account.

DidEinsteinsMum · 08/07/2010 14:02

afternoon folks. how are you all today?

I think i might have staved off the need for antibiotics but still feel pretty crap. Due nother dose of painkillers which should help with the hot cold crap that i have been suffering. On a plus note I havent had any coffee or caffine in at least 2 days and I havent been comfort eating so the scales should start heading in the right direction soon.

And i have finished the baby blanket I was crocheting which is good as the baby arrived yesterday. So it is a case of picking a lovely card, wrapping up and sending it. Maybe I will have more time to mn now. Well when I feel up to be being out of bed for a bit longer.

Ds used to sleep walk but he used to do it whilst in the midst of a night terror. So you used to be confronted by this screaming child whose eyes were wild with terror and was lashing out at anything. Thankfully we still had the stair gate on his bedroom door at the point so he didnt get too far. But had to get him to wake up as you cant touch them in state of terror. My heart used to sink when it started with scream then thump as it always meant a very long night.

TotalChaos · 08/07/2010 14:03

reported Mouse.

thanks dib and jet for kind posts last night, sorry I scarpered off, DH wanted the computer, the bloody cheek of the man

am thinking "lady" thoughts, to bring you your period before France, shudder at the thought of camping at the best of times - I neeeeed an ensuite loo.

OliviaMumsnet · 08/07/2010 14:08

Sorry, yes, was at lunch
but Trillian's right Mouseface, it's just showing MSN - the reason you can see your email account is cos of your cookies (not the chocolate type, isn't this a diet thread?)
HTH
MNHQ

Mouseface · 08/07/2010 14:09

MNHQ have lunch ? What all at the same time? Who holds the fort?

Seriously, thanks for talking me down ladies. I am logged out, it says 'sign in' in the corner.

I am a complete bloody technophobe.

DEM - Sorry you're still poorly! Hope the painkillers help. Yes, night terrors are horrid too. And yes, God, the screams and the thud as they dive out of bed.......

DeFluffy · 08/07/2010 14:12
