DEM - dont do pregnancy stories, especially horror stories as still traumatised by the experience of ds' birth.

Need to lose 2 stone, need to stop drinking coffee, need to sleep, need not to let ds go to friends house after school as half hour is never half hour, need to stop eating chocolate.

Need to go skating.

but it is bedtime for ds so may or maynot be back later.

i am not listening to birth stories that end in stitches

Friend came over with her boys. I find the older one such hard work! I know i complain about DD, but so much can be excused because she is only 2.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 01/07/2010 19:57

I was lucky, no stitches here.

DD was only 6lb, and DS got his head stuck for 3 hours which apparently did me a favour as it allowed things to stretch naturally.

TrillianAstra · 01/07/2010 20:00

Your last birth ended in a different kind of stitches didn't it Alice? Or am I confused?

DP is off boozing so I get to catch up on the last 2 episodes of Dr Who, and eat weirdy 'I'm here by myself' food (currently thai green curry paste with coconut milk, rice, and veg all cooked as a bit soupy mess).

I thinkt must have been - only because iplayer says it's called 'Big Bang' and there's a thread called 'Doctor Who end of series Big Bang'.

Watching 'The Pandorica Opens' at the moment. Well, half-watching, half-MNing.

Birth seems more, er, normal to me than anal sex. That is supposed to go there (albeit unconfortably).

Alicetheinvisible · 01/07/2010 20:10

Yes Trills, c section. But feel very ill at the thought of stitches there you know?

I am watching the Peckham Finishing School

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 01/07/2010 20:14

I agree, I'm happy to talk about birth stories and fanjos till the cows come home but will not be talking about (and definitely not partaking in) the other thing.

I have only had c sections and that was bad enough never mind being stitched up elsewhere

bellavita · 01/07/2010 20:21

I always said if I had vaginal births and I had to be cut then I certainly did not want to be told that's what they were going to do. Just the thought makes me feel queasy.

TrillianAstra · 01/07/2010 20:22

Oooh, Rory! Being all manly! I have no idea what's going on.

TrillianAstra · 01/07/2010 20:23

I think they generally only cut if it's the only alternative to a tear. Would far rather a nice clean cut than a rip.

Fair point Trills but I'm with bella - I wouldn't want to know if that's what they were doing.

TrillianAstra · 01/07/2010 20:33

I assume you would feel it so I would want to know it was a deliberate pain that was doing good, not something going wrong.

Welcome to our healthy eating thread everyone! We talk about cutting up fanjos to put you off your chocolate!

LizzyLOU · 01/07/2010 20:33

I didn't feel being cut either time.
They do it on a contraction (or after a spinal with DS1, nearly had a C/S). I remember my friend who had a baby at 19 telling me that and I was v dubious, but honestly didn't feel a thing.
Sewing up was worse.

Bumsex? Ummmm I'll plead the 5th on that one.

Mittz · 01/07/2010 20:33

My counsellor has said that I need to pamper myself as I am emotionally run down, she is going away next week so instructed me as 'homework' to do things that refill my cup as it were......

She didn't tell me where to find a man willing, ready and able though

nah, don't stop talking about it TC, bit of nooky won't kill me.

Hmm.. never minded either way, I think quickies are fabulous and excellent for keeping the fire stoked but there is something delicious about building up with teasing and touching and reaching volcanic thrusting.... oo err .. What's that buzzing noise

Not a big talker about Anal adventures Bitter, but get strangely drawn to BJ threads,

Hi Shiney one.. Are there any alternative supplements that might help Taya or do you think she needs more NHS attention?

Birth wise. Weirdly having had 2 very lovely births, I feel extraordinarily guilty in talking about them. No panics, no stitches, little gas and air. DD was so quick I didn't get to listen to the whole CD I had recorded. But I do appreciate to those who have had traumatic experiences it might not be something that is appreciated.

I do those kind of meals for myself Trills... saves on the washing up.. usually taste delicious, but look like I cleaned the drains out.

Where and how is Yank? I miss her,....

TrillianAstra · 01/07/2010 20:37

Some bouncing Mitts? How about the space hopper?

LizzyLOU · 01/07/2010 20:40

I was thinking about Yank earlier, hope she is OK.

bellavita · 01/07/2010 20:46

That was a lovely post Mittz

I txted Yank earlier today, I think she is having a bit of a hard time at the mo

NormaSknockers · 01/07/2010 20:47

Bloody hell it's too hot, I've spent the day wallowing in the pond (not really but I did consider it!)

Evening all are we talking about cock yet?
