Anal sex hurts a lot less than giving birth at least.

Had a look at the bits in the mirror, contortionist time! And have definite weird lumps, think where the stitches were. Might get DP to have an explore when hes not on nights

Trills - always wondered as you have no children and aren't ttc how did you stumble on mn and why? When I was young and vibrant (going back 10 years at least now) I wouldn't have been seen dead on a parenting forum. Probably because I was always out clubbing or stoned though. When not watching Midsommer Murders

DeFluffy · 01/07/2010 20:50

Norma - I WON A PRIZE THIS MORNING!!

Only entered twice and I won two prizes, one the first month and now one this month - from 'Making Gifts' Magazine, God Im rock n roll. My mum has just won two from Making Cards magazine, do you think we're the only subscribers??

Miitz - at fire stoked

NormaSknockers · 01/07/2010 20:51

Ooooo are we doing birth stories? Who are we trying to freak out with them? Only kidding, birth is a wonderful thing so Ive been told

Alicetheinvisible · 01/07/2010 20:51

I love Midsummer Murders! Only got into after having DD though. Poirot was my thing before

Norma - i was at my friend's baby shower on sunday and i really really wanted to get in their pond!

Thinking bed....

Alice, how are you coping in the heat? I don't think anyone would have blamed you for getting in the pond! I was PG in that awful heatwave with DD, didn't learn my lesson though as was heavily PG in the summer with DS too

bellavita · 01/07/2010 20:54

Fluffs, I have txted you.

TrillianAstra · 01/07/2010 20:55

I was so very very bored when writing up my PhD that I needed some kind of human company. MN was in the paper, and unlike all other online forums it is not full of teenage boys. I like talking to adult women. Is that unusual?

Alicetheinvisible · 01/07/2010 20:56

I have puffy feet, puffy hands (rings have been taken off) and i am constantly sweating like a pig! Contractions started again earlier this evening after a whole week with none whatsoever, but have eased off a bit now.

5wks4days to go!

NormaSknockers · 01/07/2010 20:57

I don't think so Trills, I've heard similar reasons for joining before

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 01/07/2010 20:57

Trills - I wanted to ask that question too. I am very glad that your boredom led to MN.

Alicetheinvisible · 01/07/2010 20:58

DH told me about MN. He had been looking up product reviews (apparently)

wastingaway · 01/07/2010 20:58

DS was c section. I've spent two years feeling like I was going to unravel every time I engaged my stomach muscles.
Only just starting to get any core muscles back, courtesy of the Shred.

Are you going VBAC this time Alice?

NormaSknockers · 01/07/2010 20:58

Poor Alice Better?

NormaSknockers · 01/07/2010 21:01

Have you found the shreddig helps wasting? I have this awful sort of 'overhang' since having DS not even losing weight has helped it I get a double wammy when I get my period as not only do my neter regions get really sore from scar tissue (had to be cut with DD & stitches burst, infection etc) but my stomach gets all sore & throbby too - child bearing, what a wonderful thing eh

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 01/07/2010 21:02

Alice there was a massive heatwave when I was pregnant with DS (July baby)

I used to spend hours in a bath of tepid water - it was the only way I could get comfortable.

Not long to go.

Yes Wasting - i am petrified! But didn't like the idea of an elcs for no real reason iyswim?

NormaSknockers · 01/07/2010 21:04

Oooo Grey's Anatomy is set to be good tonight

TotalChaos · 01/07/2010 21:04

Mittz - sounds like your therapist is bang on, time for you to think of you.

Will keep shtum about birth talk after this, a s it's not too everyone's taste - but I had a local anaesthetic before being cut, so didn't feel a thing.

Alice - you poor thing, it's been horridly hot last few days, so being heavily pg will make it that much worse.

TrillianAstra · 01/07/2010 21:07

Norma, I'm fatter than after I had DS so I can't really say on the overhang. It's awful though! But the muscles were just non-existent for such a long time and I really wasn't diligent at all with the exercise sheet they gave me in the hospital. So actually doing even my pathetic crunches is great.
