Waht is Tayto Double?

Re the chores I'd pick two, do them then sod the rest for tonight (sometimes when I start something I get motivated to do the rest)

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 05/07/2010 18:49

Hello

My feet are going to fall off. Is it a full moon? I have had the most bizarre complaints today.

Top prize goes to the old bat customer who shouted at me for a good ten minutes because she bought two packs of trifle that she thought were priced at £1 each. They weren't.

They were £1.79, BOGOF.
That wasn't good enough, we are ripping customers off yada yada. In the end I offered to charge her £1 for each of them then give her an extra 21p off for her trouble!

Today I have been good (so far).

Breakfast - 1 small bowl of cheerios with semi skimmed milk.

Lunch - ww tomato soup with two white rolls, and some grapes for after.

Snack - go ahead yogurt berry bar.

Dinner - Jacket potatoe with garlic and herb pili light mushed in, tuna with extra light salad cream, lettuce, cucumber and beetroot.

Treat - a packet of fizz whizz popping candy, childish but great

I've drunk water all day and only had 1 small bottled of diet coke.

bellavita · 05/07/2010 19:17

Haven't caught up yet, but I wanted to say...

Bloody 'ell Jaq I know you said you loved me but I love you more!!!!! for coming back to the thread - yay yay yay >

jetcat · 05/07/2010 19:18

Hey Jaq Its lovely to pop back here and see your name as the last poster! I miss you....

Vinny - huge huge congrats You must all be walking on cloud nine

Alice - yes, pj's are a requisite when preggers (that particular post was probably hours ago, so wont make much sense now)

I think (looks for something wooden) the water infection is on its way out - i managed to eat something today, and have stopped having all the pains. I have been giving junior loads of sympathy looks, as she has had about 8 in the past 2 years and now i understand partly how horrible she felt. Still doesnt mean she gets her tele back though......

TrillianAstra · 05/07/2010 19:26

Hi Jaq!

TrillianAstra · 05/07/2010 19:27

Glad you're feelig better Jet - did you get any drugs for it in the end?

bellavita · 05/07/2010 19:28

jet, sorry I missed that you were illing . Glad to see it is on its way out. What is this about Juniors tele?

jetcat · 05/07/2010 19:29

i did trills - got some trimeothropin (sp) and painkillers, did the trick

FiveGoMadInDorset · 05/07/2010 19:31

Good to see you JAq.

Had a good clear up today and then went back to bed for a couple of hours as have a bad head cold which came on last night. I was a bit miffed this morning as no brekfasts to do and having let DH have a lie in for the last 2 mornings while I cooked (DC's woke late) he toyed with the idea of letting me have a lie in but dismissed it

Jaquelinehyde · 05/07/2010 19:38

you guuuuys!

Bella just sent you huge rambling text, some of which I shall now repeat on here...

Ahem, I have come to the conclusion that avoiding posting on the shiney thread/cult is as important to me and my future health as attending my slimming club (returning Wednesday). I believe that I used the stresses and strains in my life as an easy and almost unquestionable excuse to stop posting, when actualy I was embarressed at my failure to lose weight and constant yo-yoing. By avoiding you lot I didn't have to explain myself and it wasn't real.

I have started today and I am on those tablets, I will be back at slimming world on Wednesday and I have my first councelling session tomorrow at 11:45.

I'm taking it one day at a time, today has been really hard. My friend's Mum is an alcoholic annon councillor and she has said I should do it like this, bringing it right down to an hour at a time if I need to. Then each little bit is a success. I like it and I'm giving it a go.

jetcat · 05/07/2010 19:41

had a water infection bella - first one ever, and it bloomin hurt!

tele - junior is being a little madam, sneaking on her tele when she is supposed to be doing her work/ tidying bedroom, so in the end i took her tele off her. I am running out of suitable punishments for her, for stupid little things. Eg. she knows she is supposed to get changed from school as soon as she gets in. I go up 40 mins later, not changed. She is driving me mad

Jaquelinehyde · 05/07/2010 19:41

Jet I feel for you I have had cyctitis(sp?) for two days now not nice, also bloody toothache but got the dentists on Thursday thank God.

bellavita · 05/07/2010 19:49

Oh jet, water infections are truly horrible. I have only ever had one and I cried every time I needed the toilet. Vicious circle really because you have to drink to get it out of your system but then you need the flippin loo every five mins.

Sounds like she is being a typical teenager jet, I try not to sweat the small stuff, it ain't worth upsetting yourself over it (believe me). How about trusting her with the tele, but asking to see how much homework she has produced at the end of every evening with a view to banning her tele at the weekend if it is not enough? Do you give her pocket money? stop that?

jetcat · 05/07/2010 19:51

Jaq - i fully understand that, i cant actually remember the last time i posted my weight on here But, you're back now, and whats more, sounds like you have reached a massive step into remembering why you originally came here, so well done you

I think i just need to remember it for myself now, am going without the tablets for now, so completely un assisted weight loss from now on fingers crossed

Jaq - i thought i had cystitis, and only went to the docs after discussing it on here

Iggisfulloftayto · 05/07/2010 19:55

Did somebody mention tayto?
Off to read the non-crisp-related parts of thread now.

jetcat · 05/07/2010 19:56

she gets pocket money bella, but is so sneaky about that too - its the lying that really gets to me, over stupid little things that i just think - why lie about that!!

She is supposed to be going on an activity week with her club, which would do her the world of good - but it is costing a lot of money, and i keep threatening her that if she doesnt pack it in, she wont go. But now i have threatend it that many times i dont think she believes me any more. Kind of made a rod for my own back there

She is a good kid, and i know she gets very easily distracted from what she is doing. But, this is why we have a sheet on her door, reminding her exactly what she has to do (her idea - her list). Things like, get up brush teeth, brush hair, get washed, get dressed, sort breakfast, sort school bag etc. As,, left on her own, she would get out of bed and put the tele on.

Sorry, a mini rant there

Maybe rather than threatening her with saying she won't go but still letting her, just take the pocket money off her instead. DS1 is easily distracted with his i-pod/laptop and quite often we confiscate them. I also have no hesitation in stopping pocket money too.
