Healthy thread focussing on cock and cake finding the method that suits you whilst enjoying some cheery banter and googling obscene veg!

I am Mitts... hello xx

Just back from DS1's sports day, was hot.

Mittz, I think Fluffy's idea of a counsellor would be good for DS. He needs to make sense of what has happened and process it, he must be very confused.
You also need to be able to paint I think, you are so talented and it is such a waste that you get no time to do it. It must really soothe you.
Never forget that you have come so far and are in such a far better place, all of you. You did that, you made that change and you can work on you now to get to where you want to be.

My lounge smells of lovely flowers

NormaSknockers · 30/06/2010 15:19

Lizzy you must have nearly melted in this heat, how did DS1 get on?

jetcat · 30/06/2010 15:22

an inch to her mouse is nearly up to her knees She is actually wearing her sun swimming costume which is aged 1 1/5 to 2

Lizzy - did you do the parents race?

jetcat · 30/06/2010 15:23

hang on, will try and add a pic to profile....

jetcat · 30/06/2010 15:30

tis there

LizzyLOU · 30/06/2010 15:36

No Mom's race this year, yay! So didn't have to feel bad for not entering/falling flat on my face

DS1 did well, he was up front in the running race until his hat fell off and he ran back to get it and he managed not to strangle himself in the skipping race

Jet, Mini looks so cute, fab pool

Mouseface · 30/06/2010 15:37

Aww - she's uber cute!!

Can I come play??

Right, to town with me. Back later after feeding and bathing and homework and washing and drying and whatever else pops up!!

jetcat · 30/06/2010 15:38

in my experience lizzy, a sports day with no injuries is always a successful one

Its so hot, i am even tempted to jump in the pool myself

TrillianAstra · 30/06/2010 15:41

Awww, very cute. I like the glam pic of Junior.

NormaSknockers · 30/06/2010 15:55

Awwww Jet she is utterly adorable & what a fab paddling pool!

Bless him going back for his hat Lizzy what a sweetie

wastingaway · 30/06/2010 16:04

Hey hey Shiners! What a hot day!

Had MIL round for a visit, not seen her for a while, and then we've been to Morrisons and I have just about melted in the heat.
Why could it all not just melt off of me?

at a Mousey snog and all round!

Mini looks very cute. I too am unable to attach the hose to the tap and am planning on using gaffer tape when I next try.

Well done to Lizzy's DS.

How exciting Mouse! I remember feeling very grown-up when I got my first bra.

Bitter, why are spiders afraid of conkers?

Defluff, that sounds like a phobia to me!

Mittzy, can you find 15/20 mins a day to work on the painting? If you've got a spot where you keep everything set up, you could pop and do a little bit, or work on a sketch.

There sure are a lot of us on that list aren't there?!

I think the best way to get the lurkers into the open is to arrange another meet.

DidEinsteinsMum · 30/06/2010 16:09

< puts fingers in ears and pretends not to hear wasting> Lalalalala

Mittz · 30/06/2010 16:18

I try wasting... there's just so much to do in this house. Should try harder.

He has had counselling, CAMHS and SS, but just zipped up or said he was fine. I might ask mine if they do adolescents, she is very clever and art therapy might be a way forward.

Paddling pool .. I wanna be 3 and sit in a pool!

I love kids sports days, missed DD's .

Afternoon

Have been in from work about an hour now and all I have done is tidy round, hoover, bring washing in and put more washing out.... I need to do some ironing and I cannot be bothered.

I love the pictures jet

Lizzy, did I read that DS1 had done sports day? DS2's is on the 9th July.

How has the bra buying gone Mouse?

TotalChaos · 30/06/2010 16:20

Mitts - I'm sorry you have a weight of sorrows on you. Sounds like it will take some time for you and DS to heal from the insidious behaviour of ex. I agree with the other ladies, about looking for some sort of outside help. If you feel counselling would be a nono, could he do something like art therapy/play therapy to help express himself. I think that having an outsider say to him - no this is not your fault, and no, you are not the only person to be treated like this by a father - could be very helpful to him. From my memories to my early years - I genuinely believed I felt so bad because I was bad, and deserved it, felt that my family situation was unique.

TotalChaos · 30/06/2010 16:22

cross posted Mitts, didn't know that you had already been down the CAMHS etc route with him.

TotalChaos · 30/06/2010 16:25

I am taking a break from Shining. Many of you have been very kind to me, but I feel like I am gatecrashing a party. Sorry.

bellavita · 30/06/2010 16:33

Total - don't you dare >

TrillianAstra · 30/06/2010 16:35

But Total you share (part) of your name with our favourtie yoghurt - how could you not be a part of the group?

bellavita · 30/06/2010 16:36
wastingaway · 30/06/2010 16:38

Total, you're on the list! You can't fuck off! Please don't!

DeFluffy · 30/06/2010 16:45

Total - you're the only one of these freaks that I actually like. Can you stay please or I'll have to talk to Bitter and she and I have ishoos

Seriously, please stay.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/06/2010 16:48

Total, you can't go. If your name is on the list you have to stay. Forever.

TotalChaos · 30/06/2010 16:48

slaps self on face with wet fish (then realises Lizzy would think that was waste of fish and sticks it on stove).

I'm being a self-pitying twat aren't I? sigh.

Thanks ladies, normal service will be resumed shortly.

bellavita · 30/06/2010 16:55

That's better Total!

Right, I have just been short and sharp to some woman who has phoned up asking for MrBella....

Do these people not realise he has a fucking full time job and family?

She was really expecting him to be here... asked when he would be and I said around 6.15 and then he will be having his dinner!! Her son who is 24 lives at home and she acts like he is bloody 12. She is over anxious (he is unwell - had an operation but things maybe not going as smoothly, few hiccups - but my husband is not a fucking Dr!) - she wants his advice. I know MrBella signed up for this, but I didn't!

I am sick of being his bloody secretary...
