Am going to make tea. Try to calm down. Bit shaky still. I hate them so much.

DeFluffy · 30/06/2010 14:09

And sorry for calling you mean names Bitter, I love you really

VinnyTheTit · 30/06/2010 14:10

was it a tiny spider huge monster you just tackled?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/06/2010 14:11

Sorry DF, didn't realise you had a phobia.

You probably won't believe a word I say now but spiders hate conkers. Could you get a load in the autumn and hide them behind the sofa?

DH is 6'3 and fairly solid build - pics on profile if you fancy a swap?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 30/06/2010 14:13

I've heard much worse DF believe me. Comes with the territory when you are a total bitch sarky cow.

Mouseface · 30/06/2010 14:14

DeFluffy - what???? Didn't understand that other than your sofa is dead and your spider got close enough to kill your cusion??

Vinny!!!! Love your new name, was just about to fb you and ask as spotted you on 'that' thead.

TrillianAstra · 30/06/2010 14:16

Mouse - have you seen Mitts's painting? I was going to link to the website but decided to FB you instead in case she doesn't want real name/MN name to be here? They are amazing.

Mitss - can I link your pics here so we can all go ooh and aah?

Mittz · 30/06/2010 14:16

Aww, Fluffy, I'll get your spiders for you, they shouldn't bother you like that.

Thanks.... . I hoping this is just a very bad week because of all the reminders. Goals are good, and will seek out the books thanks Fluffy.

Someone has just told me I look done in. . Just what I need.

Must get on, thanks again xx

Bitter

Right, the spider was on the wall (a long way away from me) but I could see it and was watching it. The fuck lulled me into a false sense of security by not moving for ages. Then it began to move. I got wary.

Typed something short, looked up and it was gone. There was no way it could have crawled anywhere that quickly so stood up and stared intently at sofa. Saw the bastard on a cushion. Moved cushion to try to throw cushion and spider out window. Spider moved and fell onto sofa. I had mini heart attack. Grabbed book and squashed it. Urgh. I can't get close enough to them usually to do that but felt had no choice.

Phobia might be too strong a word. When I though dd1 had one on her once, she was about 18 months and sitting on me, I threw her on the floor to get the spider away from me So much for instinctively rushing to your child's rescue

Will go check him out bitter.

Mouseface · 30/06/2010 14:20

Bitter - we have conkers on every window sil in the house!

They really do repel the fuckers!!

DeFluffy · 30/06/2010 14:22

vinny - about 2 inches from leg to leg. and meaty body. think it was after the molegoodness.

Mouseface · 30/06/2010 14:24

Trills - yes, just fabulous aren't they!

My kinda art.

I should show you some of my pics that I've drawn, more of a drawer than a painter.

Will track them down at some point and link them.

Mittz · 30/06/2010 14:25

Mouseface · 30/06/2010 14:48

DidEinsteinsMum · 30/06/2010 14:57

all the pill hormones in the drinking water

Afternooon. had a lazy lunch with mum and talked wedding dress fabrics. sis (not dsis who is someone else) is getting married. mum is making the bridesmaids dresses. so have been looking at satin backed silks and patterns etc. it was lovely but have decided you either mellow or get more stress when you get old. my mother is a stress head and I found myself rolling my eyes at her rants just like i used to when i was a teenager and she said something i didnt like.

Fabulous fabric shop though and must go back to sort out stuff for my next big project. which has a christmas deadline but is a lot of work. will stick a picky up on profile in a mo.

jetcat · 30/06/2010 15:00

mouse - i remember posting about going out to buy junior's first bra Tis an experience!

Mittz - sounds like DS has created the extra voice as a type of coping mechanism - maybe that is good in a way, means he is trying to muddle through Has he tried things like CAMHS, play therapists etc?

very at fit flops!

Mini is out in the back garden playing in her paddling pool - which has about an inch of water in as i couldnt figure out how to fit the hose to the tap and got fed up of the hundreds of trips with the watering can

jetcat · 30/06/2010 15:02

and for those safety conscious amongst us, i am sitting on the back of the sofa watching out of the window

not just chucking her out so i can mn

Mouseface · 30/06/2010 15:04

She's 11.

Very tall, 5'3" and slim as a bean. But things have sprouted and have got to the point where I need to act.

She'll always be my baby.

at mini in a whole inch of water!!

DidEinsteinsMum · 30/06/2010 15:06
