thanks Mouse, its tough going But, on the other hand, i am now picturing you as one of those angle grinding pole dancer type people - giving off sparks from her 'you know where'

fab quote Trills, reminds me of mini this morning. Totally random she anounces "milk comes from cows", so i say yes, and ask her what comes from hens - which she says "eggs" - very clever my daughter

I then have to try to resist very hard to state that bacon comes from Babe (her fave film) WOuld that have been mean??

Dance class this afteroon - she is hyper bless her. Oh, and we got the appointment through for the 12th July for her height check up. That was quick!

DidEinsteinsMum · 29/06/2010 13:50

Ds knew very early on that bacon comes from pigs. probably one of the reasons why he is so disgusting

Right back to the lego. only an hour before collection time

Jet - We told DD that sausages come from Peppa that is mean isn't it?

Mouse - i'm thinkig flashdance.

Trills - you must be the most knowledgeable non parent at parenting

Lunch was small french stick sandwich of ham and lettuce, 2 carrots with houmous, pint of weak orange squash, and some cherries. Yum, and i have a fresh cream and strawberry scone to have with a cup of tea after i have had a nap (and i will have a nap!)

I also have some new rennies to try (exciting huh?) Rennie Ice

TrillianAstra · 29/06/2010 14:06

I have to keep it a secret though Alice or they'll wonder where it came from

The whole Guardian 'women' section seemed to be all about parenty stuff today. I miss the Times.

Mouseface · 29/06/2010 14:07

Christ on a bike, Flashdance?

I can't even do the birdy song at the mo!! Not without some serious druggage inside me!

Alicetheinvisible · 29/06/2010 14:11

Just think though Trills, if you have kids you will save a fortune on parenting books

Mouse - nothing wrong with serious druggage i don't know anyone who should would attempt the birdy song whilst sober.

Need to get DD upstairs for her nap so i can nap too, but she has just 'found' an apple

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 29/06/2010 14:12

Hello.

Double, you could be The Iron Lung

Help! Help! My kitten is trapped in a burning building! The smoke is too thick

Never fear Ma'am, The Iron Lung is here.

And before their very eyes, The Iron Lung cleared the build of smoke with a deep breath, then whipped up a round of Margarhitas for the Bystanders.

DS Knows that bacon comes from pigs - it's just a bit when he proceeds to tell everyone in detail about the butcher taking the pigs head off and chopping it to pieces.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 29/06/2010 15:58

Well done on being a good Mummy Saf.

Jack will be that he's missed George too.

Oops! Now he will be - I didn't realise how far he has come on in his reading - he has just read this post out loud over my shoulder!

Mmm, crumpets. I have trout for dinner.

jetcat · 29/06/2010 15:58

Mittz - where, i dont see her

I have just got myself a beeeeautiful leather sofa suite Tis brown leather, 2 2.5 seaters with high back and arms - very distinguished looking - compelte with a storage pouffe. Popped into a second hand shop and it was just there! Just under £300, so not too cheap, but i just love it!

I sold my other one on ebay, as it was just too big for the room, but very very comfy while i had it

All in all, we are in a much better position financially now, still not perfect, but better than i was - so thanks to all for listening to me worry etc!
