Just suggestions:

Running/walking (there are quite a few clubs round here that lots of people from different backgrounds use)

The gym? Rowing?

Comedy/music nights in small pubs etc.

Why not see what hobbies other mnetters do?

Morning all.

I had an early night and no booze yesterday as still not feeling great - not the most exciting birthday, especialy as I have a shiny new blender/food-processor/all-singing-all-dancing-machine and I want to make margaritas (but I don't feel like drinking them).

Film was ok, I've seen the first 20 mins of Benjamin button and got bored. I also have Nine to watch, so can have a slobby sofa day.

Bit earlin the day for that isn't it double?

Alicetheinvisible · 30/05/2010 11:49

DD and i have just made white chocolate toblerone crispy cakes. DH is now home (briefly) so i am thinking lunch, DD bath then put her to bed for a bit. Hmmm.....

Trills - sorry your birthday was a bit dull and that you still feel poorly. Some probiotic yoghurt or something help? Or just a good roast dinner? Roast dinners do help a lot of things you know

I'm not a fan of toblerone but that does sound like good cooking Alice!

Had boiled eggs as DP was making them, thought eggs would be good for their binding properties, now just feel a bit sick. Think I'll stick to the 'don't eat much' recovery path. Easy way to lose holiday weight, anyway. Much better than dieting, where you want to eat but aren't allowed.

Trills - i always go for the yoghurt option if feeling rough (ms, hangover etc) because it soothes (and if it comes back up it doesn't hurt as much)

Fucking oven is now not working was going to do cheesy chips for lunch as the cupboards are pretty bare, but now DD and i are having cream crackers, cheese and sharing the last bag of crisps. All so yellow

On the plus side, may mean we get to try out the new thai takeaway this evening.....

Well, lets just hope that it is neither my waters or the kettle (that would be hard)

We still have a BBQ though....
