VinegarTits · 27/05/2010 20:44

he is going to propose at her 21 birthday BBQ in front of all her family, he wants me to make him an iDVD of a timeline of pics of them both from when they first met, he is going to play it for her on the day, but it will have a bonus menu, and when she clicks on it, it will say 'will you marry me'

have told him i want an invite so i can be there too

wastingaway · 27/05/2010 20:45

What Bitter said.

I'm so spaced out. I keep forgetting to stir DH chilli on the stove and am sitting here watching an episode of CSI I must have seen at least 3 times.

I've been reading MN threads for most of the afternoon while DS ate babybels and watched Cbeebies.

I think you're right Bitter, I was drinking loads of water while it was really hot, but I've just drank coffee the last couple days.

I'm going to knit for a bit now. See you tomorrow.

Vinny that's so romantic!

Mouseface · 27/05/2010 20:58

Felicity Hat Hire????? OMG is that in Greater Manc? I used to live down the road from FHH.

In no particular order -

Mittz - here's your snuggle. Hope you stay ok.

Lizzy - 5k, you can do it. My friend has just done the Paris marathon and she'd done less than no training, you'll be grand!

Alice - rest please, even just a tiny bit?

ULAQ - I lost the blue bar todady too? MN went V weird for a bit!

Jet - yeah, it's the whole worse before it gets better bllcks. Have got doc appt first thing to get some real druggage! OUCH. I still hurt heaps... and at old PA!! Outrageous.

Yank - Hiya.

TC - would you like vodka then in palce of calpol and brandy? I have plenty. Do you not drink???

Vinny - it's tradition to spend a months' wages on an engagement ring!! Very lovely news!

AND DS said "mama" tonight. He reached out his hands for me to pick him up and said "mama". Twice.

At last, some degree of 'normal' from him.

I am celebrating with a vodka and slimline. And yes, I cried, as did DH.

I love my family. Sorry, should've used a disclaimer for soppiness!!

Lizzylou · 27/05/2010 21:00

OMG Vinny!
That is the most romantic thing ever.

YOu made that wonderful young man, it's because of you that he could even dream up such a wonderful plan, blimey. I'd just have fainted if someone did that for me.

Double, we live "semi-rural" and we get foxes/deer and badgers (deer and badgers rarely) but I love rivers and the sea. That all sounds so lovely.

Lizzylou · 27/05/2010 21:01

Mouse! That is fab, you've made me cry too.
HOw lovely, what a fab boy you have

Iggisfulloftayto · 27/05/2010 21:04

Alicetheinvisible · 27/05/2010 21:10

Mouse - that is lovely, so pleased for you and DH. Sorry you are in pain, Vodka definitely needed.

Vinny - awwwwwww, i am gutted i never got a proper proposal. I'm sure she will love it.

Have had dinner and a cornetto, would kill for a G&T but have no tonic.

DreamsInBinary · 27/05/2010 21:12

Whoops - didn't refresh and missed half a dozen posts!

That's made me all misty-eyed, Mouse. How wonderful.

jetcat · 27/05/2010 21:13

awww vinny, if you are doing the dvd, seems to me its only fair if you are there too

Mouse - thats so lovely, i bet he looked all pleased with himself

CrispyTheCrisp · 27/05/2010 21:15

Mouse, that is so lovely for you. Definitely worth shedding a tear

Mouse - that's lovely.

Blimey Crispy, let 'em 'ave it tomorrow - £600 is a lot of money

I have been speaking to the lovely Shiney

VinegarTits · 27/05/2010 21:31

i have no doubt that she will say yes, he told me she has been hinting at him for a while now but he just brushes it off, she has no idea he going to do this though

he asked her parents permission first, they said yes of course, then they were sworn to secrecy
