Weighed this morning and I'm 12st 12lb so no loss but no gain either.

Been very busy lately and tomorrow I start work full time so will only be on the evenings. I'm feeling a bit (lot) sad at not seeing the kids so much and worrying about it, but they will be with DH so that's good.

Thanks guys. I just feel sad about it. I haven;t worked for 18mths since I was made redundant and had DS and previously I worked 4 days a week. This is 5 days so will be out of house from about 8:10 til 6 at night. Not loads and loads but by baby boy goes to bed around 6:30.

Feel quite about it for some reason. I am excited about the job, it's a good one, and meeting lots of new people, just can't get the thoughts of the DC's out of my head. Ah well, it'll all be fine.

MyCat, I understand where you are coming from, I only work p/t but it means I don't see the DC at all on a Monday and I do miss them.

But until I went back to work I didn't get a chance to miss them IYKWIM and I do think I am a better parent when I am not doing it all day every day.

And it does get better, it was hellish at first but now I quite enjoy being a grown up for part of the week, rather than just Mummy.

Alice, yes, we've been getting DS to go to bed a bit later (he was doing 5:45 6 weeks ago) and he now goes at 6:30. I'm thinking 6:45 for him and 7:30 for DD (currently she does 7:15).

ds in prefferred high stimulus routine environment copes. school have a week long event the week prior to half term. which is hell week here any way because half term = change.

Spoke to school and got "well he shows no problem with change we have change all the time" -- erm no you dont you vary activity but the basic weekly structure is the same.

"I think you are over reacting a little bit he will be fine." erm yes this is why his dad is majorly about his behaviour this weekend, ds nearly had a trip to a & e and we are both concerned about his ability to cope.

I have bruises from bank holiday weekend, it took two of us to try to sort his behaviour out. yes he is coping fabulously and there is no problem at all

and the fucking internet connection seems to have packed in again.
