Shiney - sory work is not going well for you.

Spag Bol - we had this on Monday and I put some smoked bacon in which was delicious.

Yank - no, I chickened out. Some friends launched their internet business last weekend which has really taken off so went round to theirs as they want me to do their books and had some gin instead.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 12/05/2010 21:00

Right Three in a Bed is on C4+1

TrillianAstra · 12/05/2010 21:00

What's that Fanny? Is it good?

ForStately · 12/05/2010 21:01

Trills - my advice would be that if you ever do decide to have children it is really hard with a career. Also i you get used to the money you earn in a hectic job and then lose that when you go on maternity leave.

I think it is impossible to combine both unless you work from home. My current job is totally unpredictable so I could be in the office till 4.30am - not good for child care. And flying to Ireland for 3 days with 1 days notice, nice.

I'm probably being patronising sorry, I'm sure you know all this, but to be honest if I could go back and do it again I'd skip the degree and do something more vocational so I could be my own boss and fit around the DC. We're looking at franchises at the moment.

Shiny - 3 limited edition world tour ones, i've put on at 99p start, will see what happens. The 3 cost me £12 so hope to make a profit.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 12/05/2010 21:01

It is about B&Bs, three a week and they go and judge each others, me and DH sit here judging all of them

bellavita · 12/05/2010 21:02

Yes Lizzy, I didn't understand either

Shiney, just that I would be norty with him and "punish" him in the bedroom for not being able to do something for me today...

OK then Fanny I am watching with you

I did just spend a night in a super-posh hotel so will be extra judgemental

I will bear in mind that I need to develop skills that could be useful in a part-time or from-home sort of job

FiveGoMadInDorset · 12/05/2010 21:04

Oh they are all newbies.

CrispyTheCrisp · 12/05/2010 21:05

LOL Trills, wise move

Fanny, i always use smoked bacon in mine and worcestershire sauce. Yum. Friends business sounds great and excellent you can do the books. Def worth missing weigh in for gin

ForStately · 12/05/2010 21:06

We must talk silver powerseller one, I used to be a powerseller but that was a while ago and I need to brush up my skills...

Off to finish watching the utterly dire Wrong Turn 3 (while hoping hasn't upset Bitter)

And in honour of WombShootsLeaves:

bellavita · 12/05/2010 21:07

I am watching Alan Sugar and the Junior Apprentices.

Fluffy, when you do the spag bol, after you have added your chopped toms and stirred it through, add a glug of milk and stir, leave for a 10 mins to cook in and then glug in some red wine.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 12/05/2010 21:08

Will try the milk next time Bella.

I've got an English degree Shiney too (re other thread).

Where does J live? If, maybe, ever you two moved closer you could get a job there?

Yep but not a single 'beatch' so no class really, sniff.

TrillianAstra · 12/05/2010 21:26

closer, mmm-hmmmm

dinkystinky · 12/05/2010 21:27

I come in peace waving a white flag of truce (aka a kleenex). We Dont hate you Shiney - we hate the world at large (and in Nom's case extraneous es apparently). Tis a sad side-effect of the calorie-restricted state of mind dontcha know.

As you were...

DreamsInBinary · 12/05/2010 21:27

They do, Shiney.

But "You have your own set of fat club hangers on" so no need to feel despondent

DreamsInBinary · 12/05/2010 21:32

Bless you, Dinky.

Can't say anything even remotely mean to you because I clicked on your profile and fell in love with your children. I'm shit at this thread war stuff.
