or something like that

OP posts:
bellavita · 12/05/2010 20:19

I have just challenged MrBella about my e-mail.. he has just made excuses - he has two cold sores

ForStately · 12/05/2010 20:20

I feel chastised re the spag bol, I must admit it does always taste better day after. Will try in slow cooker, got ginormous one.

Bella - did you send DH a saucy email and he hasn't responded?? You sure you sent it to HIM and it didn't go into his trash? Because there is no way he wouldn't respons surely? (I'm guessing it was saucy, earlier posts today are somewhat hazy for obvious reasons)

Shiney - how much to expect for my juicy tubes, limited edition x 3? I bet mechanic is telling of his mates now about 'silly girl drivers'

CrispyTheCrisp · 12/05/2010 20:20

Oh bella, so sorry your flirty mail fell on deaf ears (or eyes) . Are you going to pull him up on it?

Jet - Get you Girl . So VERY well done and Uni work too - seriously impressive

bellavita · 12/05/2010 20:23

Who did you lose your temper with - the head?

Is it just because you are frustrated? That you are trying to live up to your predecessor? You are probably doing this at the moment, but do you have work piles ie. to do urgent pile, can wait a bit pile, diary pile? Write lists?

CrispyTheCrisp · 12/05/2010 20:24

Gah, x-posts again Bella. Very on your behalf. He could have said something nice/encouraging about it, even if he didn't feel like taking it anywhere. Men

Shiney - would they be receptive if you called them on the hrs v responsibilites ratio being out of kilter?

bellavita · 12/05/2010 20:26

Girls, I have just pulled him up on it and he has chosen his excuse of his cold sores - this is why he is not letting me drag him upstairs and be norty with him.

I have just had a go at him for having his lappy on his knee - he said I was a fine one to talk, I have just said it is because I am always ignored and at least I have pulled my weight since I came in from work. I also said that his bloody charity is coming between us and it is seriously pissing me off. Do you know what he said?

A BIG FAT FUCKING ZERO

as you were

Lizzylou · 12/05/2010 20:27

Fluff, I used to pay £13 a pop for 1 Juicy Tubes, in the hazy halcyon days of having my own income when MAC/YSL etc were my friends.
Superdrug do good copies though!

Shiney, are you really pissed off enough to quit? Is there anything you can do to make your job less stressful?

Bella, Sometimes I am afraid you just have to jump their bones. It is the only answer.

Watching football, quite exciting.

Lizzylou · 12/05/2010 20:29

In your position then Bella, I would go to the fuse box.
That reminds me, must pay attention to DH, will be on all night tomorrow as he is out.

Night all

MyCatIsABastard · 12/05/2010 20:31

Evening ladies. 1st day at work after 18mths not working today. All seemed OK and weirdly it was like I had never stepped out of the office environment.

I have tried to catch up but as I was out from 8 til 6 I supppose I ought to talk to DH a bit .

So -

Bella, did you e-mail DH flirty fun and he ignored it? Sounds like something my DH would do too. In one ear out the other.

Shiney, after dealing with rapes it must feel pretty crap to deal with a head teacher who can't be arsed. What you thinking of doing instead?

Fluff, def cook the spag bol ages before you eat it. I usually cook mine in the morning for that evening, def tastes better (and even better the next day).

Yank, I'm glad DS's eyes are getting better, poor little chap. Hope Wigan is fun.

Crispy - 'ello Mrs.

Everyone else, sorry my poor work addled brain has forgotten what you said, I shall go back and read again

bellavita · 12/05/2010 20:32

Night Lizzy.

MyCat, am glad you settled back into work ok.

Lizzylou · 12/05/2010 20:34

Oh and before I go to bed can I just ask that we have another thread title next time?

It's a public forum, we can see everyone posts, oh snooty ones!

TrillianAstra · 12/05/2010 20:36

Grr at MrBella ignoring her. Charity is all very well but you should pay attention to your wife dammit!

MyCatIsABastard · 12/05/2010 20:38

Cheers bella. Sorry your DH is not listening again. Switch everything off at the plug?

Quick charidee diet update for you all that have sponsored me. I lost a lb this week but now I'm working I'm hoping that I wont snack as often so that'll get the weight coming off more.

I am now going to (gulp) talk with DH. NOt about anything in particular, just feeling I ought to speak to him at some point today. .

Catch you all soon.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 12/05/2010 20:39

Oh Bella.. I would be very upset. Unless he is keeping you in suspense whilst the DC's are up and is going to ravish you later....

Sorry about your Nanny again. Being self employed it floors me when the Kids, and then usually I, are poorly consecutively.

Job change Shiney.. why? Not enough of a challenge do you think?

I have to make spag bol sauce now Bella... you have made me salivate with your description.

TrillianAstra · 12/05/2010 20:40

I knowhow you feel Shiney, in a way. Not that I have a toddler, but I am trying to figure out if I want to be career girl or just do adequately in a 9-5 sort of way. Think I would be disappointed in myself if I didn't go for the former really. But it would be so nice to do something easy.

jetcat · 12/05/2010 20:44

Bella - i would take the laptop charger and bin it lose it somewhere

Shiney - do you need a full time job - financially wise? Could you job share your present one? I know when i was working full time when junior was around Ted's age, it was so hard (i was on my own then as well)

YanknCock · 12/05/2010 20:46

Mitts, gahh..I meant to say 'ironing service' not laundry. That will teach me to do roundup with one hand while feeding DS!

Bitter, it's not deliberate, I'm sure I've not missed you out every time! Wondering what your mum is so busy at that she can't follow through on her offers to have the DC.

hells, sorry your mum is making you feel like you're putting her out, hope the reason becomes apparent soon.

DIB, I might need that fennel tea. My supply seems to be down since I got ill last week. Somehow I need to squeeze out at least 4.5oz before I take DS to nursery tomorrow

Shiney, don't you know, because we have vaginas we always make shit up to tell mechanics Am not looking forward to seeing patronising service manager next week re: my gearbox.

bella, very bad MrBella

MyCat, congrats on surviving the first day back, glad it went well.

Just be warned Trills, they won't thank you for selling your soul and being a career gal. I did it for 16yrs and feels good (if not a bit scary) to escape now

Bella, DH and i have recurrent fall outs over the amount of time he spends on his LandRover. Generally I blow up, he defends, accepts and improves for a bit, then gradually creeps up the time spent on it, I blow up..... I hope he can realise how much it is making you seethe inside and actually take steps to moderation

Well done on surviving your first day back MyCat. I'll best it was nice to ask people to do things and they just say 'yes of course, when would you like that by', rather than a sneering 'Nah mum, don't wanna'

Night Lizzy . Am struggling to understand your thread title request though

ForStately · 12/05/2010 20:51

Lizzy - what you on about poppet?

£13 would be good I paid £12 for 3 and am now flogging.

MrBella needs a slap, most men would die for their wives to send them dirty emails. He needs a big slap [grr]

Waves at Mycat and Mitts

Shiney - that sounds crappy. Do you need the cash (sorry personal question)?. I know 'part time' at my place means get paid for 30 hours actually do 60 .

Will do proper spag bol Friday night I think now.

MyCat - really glad it went well, it must have been daunting.

Bitter - first your domestic drudgery now your mum. Seriously, I am not high on tablets, I really want to give you a big squeeze to the bosom (think Les Dawson hanging over the fence), honestly you sound absolutely ground down by it all. I'm not pissing around I'm being totally serious. Your posts have a (hidden) low level despair. I want to help. Let me know if I can. And bloody join facebook.

I get you Lizzy as clicked on wrong thread too

Trills - remember New York . I've done crap/badly paid jobs and more senior/better paid jobs.

My twopenceworth is that even in lower paid/lower prestige jobs there's still a lot of stress - especially in customer facing roles. But then easy for me to say as I haven't worked in 6 years!! But will go back once youngest is at school although not sure what I'll do yet.

Shiney - ignoring the logistic issues you had with your previous job - did you enjoy it? Would you rather do something more along those lines?

Bella - wouldn't it be a shame if your DH's laptop accidentally broke - evil laugh emoticon.

Lizzylou · 12/05/2010 20:57

Not YOU lot, sorry.
I am just a bit annoyed.
Think about titles...

I really am off for sex now...

TrillianAstra · 12/05/2010 20:57

Thanks for the advice Crispy - I'm not going for the full soul-sucking City experience no matter what happens
