That will teach me to go to bed at a decent hour, I missed all the filth!

SaF, I went to a Haven with the xH and his parents about 5 years ago. Was ok, but really would have been better for people with kids.

DEM, was about to say you were sounding more positive but the saw further posts where you sound so down. Hope life gets a bit more even and manageable soon.

DI, interested to hear how you get on with the no caffeine thing.

Fanny, hi, did you end up going to weigh in?

tracey, do you have a big excess to pay for the car insurance?

hells, will you get to work tomorrow? can't remember if you are full or part time...

Crispy, sounds like you are just frustrated. Good luck with shredding!

bella at you sending filthy emails....

Mitts, I'm sure there are people who'd pay extra for a laundry servic with spanking

VT, woohoo for firemen!

Lizzy, how lovely for your candidate, good work finding him the job!

Goober, glad everything is sorted for your holiday.

Gigi, nice to see you here again and good work on all the cleaning!

wasting, happy birthday to your DS2!

Shiney, I will join you in car-hating. Any chance of getting rid of yours? We are stuck with ours, 3 years left on finance, can't afford to get anything else.

Alice, hope you can get a sitter for tonight!

Fluff, step away from the pills!

YanknCock · 12/05/2010 18:53

Loooooooong day here, DH had to leave early this morning and won't be back till tomorrow night. DS's eyes were good enough so took him to nursery and went to work--even though there is sod all to do. Not for much longer though, will get to go on a training course for the whole of June, and will be in Wigan and not my normal office so I don't have to deal with all the weird politics there.

Haven't had dinner yet, think it might be houmous and pitta bread for me and DS. I'm just not inspired to cook when DH isn't here to compliment it!

ForStately · 12/05/2010 18:54

Sorry, I have now calmed down.

DP wants me to keep on the tablets as he came home to roast chicken, tidied living room, vacuumed floors and mopped kitchen. The uniform was out for tomorrow. The DC have been bathed. Frightening. As I usually do absolutely sweet fa he is advocating I take double the dose tomorrow

I found a new diet technique last night, I ate a square of mint Aero then threw rest across bedroom. I'm so lazy I knew I'd never get up to get it

Have you lot seen the 'message in your ear to mnhq' thread? Not sure where I stand.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 12/05/2010 18:56

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 12/05/2010 18:57

fluff: i think then maybe i need some of them to cope with you. need to get so much done. have done nothing. being a very bad parent. Ds is doing something down stairs and i cant be bothered to go sort out bedtime. I am dreading tomo as he seems to be getting up at 6am at the mo. I hate 6am - well except when that is when i am falling into bed having had a nice evening.

Mitts. interesting specimin that....

Yank - i am telling myself that it is just a phase. nothing really wrong other then i need a lovely specimim to spoil me for a bit so that i feel like there is someone looking out for me and protecting and distracting me from the big bad world. Distracting part is particularly inviting....

Now if bella doesnt shows up tonight does that mean we are to assume the email had the desired effect?!?

Bitter - thankyou.

Tasty specimins.... nope none of the politicians do it for me... at all. Not sure who I am lusting after, not entirely sure there is anyone. Yes i am ill, must be.

Lizzylou · 12/05/2010 19:11

Yank, that is the very first time I have ever heard someone get excited over going to Wigan

Houmous and pitta sounds great

TotalChaos · 12/05/2010 19:15

one member of my family loves going to wigan, it reminds him of his yoof and going to college .well, it has a Next clearance, so can't be all bad

who is doing SOuth beach - there were some really cheaop South beach books in Home & Bargain today...

ForStately · 12/05/2010 19:15

DEM - 'to cope with me', I'm not that bad!!

Ooo JS, you are spoiling us tonight ladies, first the trio of lovely-ness and now Mr Can't Act But Who Cares himself.

Yank - I can't, they are strangely addictive

No politicians are sexy,none.

Where's Shiney, I'm about to add some juicy tubes to ebay and want to know how much i should make.

Stately who are you? And is there a clever story for your name?

hellsbelles · 12/05/2010 19:24

Phew - just in time for a Yank round up (thank you!)

I'm going to be at home t/m as nanny is still poorly...and I'm just waiting (as I'm such a dame doom) for us all to get it now as well as DD was at home with her all day on Tuesday . Bit of a bloody nightmare as I have so much work...but then again, as Lizzy so rightly says, I get to cuddle DD all day.

I was supposed to be doing belated birthday dinner t/m (and lovely nanny was going to babysit which she can't do now)..so I have begged my mum to stand in which she has agreed to do rather reluctantly (as she is babysitting for DB's kids on Friday and is worried about being tired ).

Subsequently we know have table for 6.30 and will need to be back for 8.30-9pm....what party animals! To be honest she is usually good so I'm a bit surprised she is making it feel like a massive favour. I will get DD fed, bathed and ready...she will have to give her a bottle and put her to bed (which DD is very good about) but that's it....just t.v watching on the sofa with food supplied by us and a taxi home. Never mind - there must be a reason.

Goodness what a ramble...sorry.

Is your mum very elderly Hells, or ill, or just used to not doing anything? (suppressing a hmm face).

DP is on the phone to his mum hearing how his sister was actually a right Bridezilla to her 'attendants' (mum and 2 bridesmaids) but that it was hidden from us regular guests.

I have chopped things for a slow-cooker spag bol for tomorrow night, and put a gammon joint in the oven to make 'nice ham', but haven't gotten around to thinking of tonight's dinner yet.

hellsbelles · 12/05/2010 19:35

Trills - I'm trying not to do that face as well...she is not elderly but she does always have an ailment of some sort or another...migraines, bad feet (yes really), legs etc. She really does have these things...but there are so many different ones that sometimes it's hard to be sympathetic

But - and I must say this to be fair....she is usually very good and willing to help...so I must conclude there is something going on that she hasn't told me. So I'll shut up now as I know I'll feel guilty when I find out what it is!

I am here. I have decided not to go to stomp tonight as I can't be arsed and also hurt knee on Monday night's class so best to MN instead.

How was your chilli Bella? We had sausages, jacket spuds, fried onions and baked beans.

See, my Mum is always falling over herself to offer to take the DC off my children, in a 'any time, just ask!' type of way.

Then when I do actually ask she is always mysteriously busy. She wouldn't even have them when we went to MIL's funeral last month.

Like I said earlier, I haven't been out with DH on our own since before we had the DC.

ForStately · 12/05/2010 19:48

Trills - fluffy. The name was because I was posting on the stately homes thread, just forgot to change back [durr dumbass me]

Explain slow cooking spag bol to me, its never occured because it only takes about 15 min to make. Is it better slow cooked? Taste better?

Hells - mine does this, at times she is supergran and very helpful, other times she's all sort of 'why don't you just send a suitcase over (with dd1) she practically lives here' Nice
