Lizzy same here, don't think I've ever seen a good looking fireman

Iggiepitomisesvacuity · 12/05/2010 14:20

Firemen without uniform wouldn't cut it I'm afraid. They are icons of selfless heroism, and can fling you over their shoulder.
Just like Vinny really.

Gigantaur · 12/05/2010 14:21

ooooh firemen? Dp's best mates are all firemen. it is very wrong that i am not allowed to walk around dribbling behind them. Dp also forbids me from poking mytoe into the forcep of the bathroom tap. evil man that he is.

Im not bad really. Things are just ticking along until the next bombshell. I'm just hoping that we can hold off having a hysterectomy for a year or so cos i am so stupidly broody

But other than this cold/flu i feel ok. till the next round of treatment.

NormaSknockers · 12/05/2010 14:22

Iggie, good point!

DH always complains that all the women always fancy the firemen & he doesn't get a look in, he trys to sway the vote with his 15" asp but doesn't seem to work

bellavita · 12/05/2010 14:24

Vinny - get you and your firemen!!

We love you too Goobs , fingers crossed for your holiday.

Norma - he probably deleted it straight away!!

Hi Gigi

Lizzy, you must get a real buzz when someone gets a job.

Tracey, what a bummer, that bloody bollard was obviously in the wrong place

Trills - my jobshare person eyed me suspiciously when my txt from you went off

Called at the supermarket on the way home and got a bits and pieces to do a veg chilli Mitts style.

Have just eaten scrambled egg.

Goober · 12/05/2010 14:24

3-into-1 does go.

NormaSknockers · 12/05/2010 14:25

Glad you're not too bad Gig, sorry you're going through all that though

Iggiepitomisesvacuity · 12/05/2010 14:26

Mits - didn't know you were thinking of uni, have you got as far as picking a course? (something arty?) My mum did an OU degree while I was growing up, was dead proud at her graduation as I'm sure your DCs would be.

Bitter you are excessively efficient by the sound of it. I am just .

SAF - get some zinc into you along with the vit c. Am great believer in zinc. It's also good for healthy sperm

DEM - a drop in your ocean, but thinking of you not sleeping and not catching up in the day - I've turned Ds's room into a cave-like place with lined curtains and a black out suctiony thing under that. And he has wave machine to drown out any noise. (Think you should come to my place and have a sleep, lovely lady).

Have only read two pages, not meaning to ignore anyone else..

NormaSknockers · 12/05/2010 14:27

Goober I likey your style

Bella didn't hear back then? Maybe someone was leaing over his shoulder & he had to delete quick!

NormaSknockers · 12/05/2010 14:28

iggie not sure I need healthy sperm but hey always worth a shot

wastingaway · 12/05/2010 14:29

Hey gorgeous ladies!

It is DS 2nd birthday today, and we've been to softplay. I'm going to buggy him to Morrisons and back and pray he goes to sleep.

Catch up later!

NormaSknockers · 12/05/2010 14:31

Happy Birthday Mini Wasting

Gigantaur · 12/05/2010 14:36

Happy Birthday wasting Jnr

Iggiepitomisesvacuity · 12/05/2010 14:38

fluffy are you starting to feel normal again? Diet pills (unprescribed ones) always sound v dodgy to me.. threw the cactus ones my mum gave me in the bin.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 12/05/2010 14:39

Hello!

Happy Birthday mini wasting!

Domestic Goddess? HAHAHahahaaa

If I was so bloody efficient I wouldn't spend half my day on here!

Fluff - I only work p/t - am not in now until Saturday.

Lizzy, I will happily do all your housework if you come round mine and do all my exercise for me?

Saf, sorry you are illing, are we still on for tomorrow?

Goobs, glad it sounds like your hols are sorted.

Gigantaur · 12/05/2010 14:43

if we're talking domestic godlyness then i demand a red ribbon.

my entire ground floor is now spotless. it has taken me 3 days but i have pullked everything out, mopped and hoovered, dusted de cluttered the lot.
I do need to wash the windows but i shall be playing up just how ill i am so that DO doies it for me later

my house is always a tip but for the first time in about 3 months i would be happy for an MNer to knock on the door.

NormaSknockers · 12/05/2010 14:48

Blimey Gigi you have been busy, think of all the cals you've burnt/burned (????) off doing all that!

MitsubishiWarrioress · 12/05/2010 14:52

Now, not fussed by uniforms but phwoarr to 'dirty' men Goobs....imagine sluicing them down

Iggi... it is in the thinking stage at the mo.. I am drawn to mentoring troubled yoof.... I need to talk to local uni about what it would entail, finances, child help. Arts..... If I had a more stable income and structured time I would be able to do more of that in the long run. Have talked to a career advisor about Art therapy. I am a big fan of Graffiti artists and if that could be used to my advantage I would go there. But lots of ifs and buts and fear at the moment.

< yayy!! Snogs Wasting and bowls Gigi over>

I fell asleep and am all dreamy and wrapped up in a woolley shrug.

Gigantaur · 12/05/2010 14:52

thank you thank you.

It was hard work but oh my word i cannot tell you how lovely it is to sit in my front room and relax. not having to try and ignore the pile of DC's games in teh corner that irritate me, or the dirty hand print on the door.

you know those little bits of housework you just never get round to because your busy doing everything else.

It just shows you how slaternous i am normally that i should be so ridiculously proud of the fact i have done it now.

Gigantaur · 12/05/2010 14:55

ahh Mitts. troubled yoof is my feild of experise ( im a social worker with young offenders)

you could volunteer within your local Youth offending service as a youth mentor. they could then help you access further training.

They would be very gratefull of your help im sure.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 12/05/2010 14:57

Blimey, Gigi you have been busy!

You put my paltry efforts to shame!

Mitts, that sounds really fulfilling

Happy birthday to mini Wasting

Iggiepitomisesvacuity · 12/05/2010 15:03

Gigi I'll send you my address since you're on a roll
Best houseworky thing I've done lately is to buy a humungous basket/trunk thing for sitting room which now hold all the toys at the end of the day. (would also hold DS, and DH at a pinch) (specially if I chopped him up)
Mits, 'tis exciting time you mean, not knowing yet what you'll end up doing but full of interests and skills and possibilities.
Unlike me stuck in job till I die retire.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 12/05/2010 15:04

Can't be anything worse than DS brings home saf, bothers me none
