OOOh Firemen, Vinny, lucky you!

DEM, I totally with what Hells said, you're thouhts are skewed because you are sleep deprived, you have loads in your life, you just need some sleep!

Alice, that is why I bloody hated Playgroups

Fluffy, you are as mad as a box of frogs (think that may be a banned phrase ), truly, you are like an overexcited Andrex puppy.

SOOOO pleased have got my fave candidate a job, starts next month, he had been out of work for ages after recovering from cancer and is a brilliant man. Very chuffed.

Lizzylou · 12/05/2010 13:09

TO be fair, he got the job, I just set it up etc, but still...

MitsubishiWarrioress · 12/05/2010 13:09

I'm not perving over politicians Trill TBH would be an anti-phrodisiac to me..

Ooohh Vinny.. good for you a nice combination of capable and in control and 'oohh! just help me with this mahoosive hose' needed there then.

Oh the trials of being female......

SaF... that sounds tough. The breakdown of my marriage has put me in a carp place. Too busy sorting day to day life to work out a solid game plan, but I have had thoughts to return to university part time and apply for Sept 2011, but my confidence is rock bottom, I am scared of the change and impact on DC's , but the alternative is living in a rut... it takes a lot of courage to be brave I guess.

It must be hard to appear to have lost so much and life not to have presented a door through which you have felt drawn to pass through. Living in the moment is good up to a point because all experience is valuable in some way I guess.

Keep on keeping on, it's OK to take a life breather until you are stronger.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 12/05/2010 13:10

Fantastic Lizzy.. what a hugely rewarding place to be.

Alicetheinvisible · 12/05/2010 13:16

Yes the children probably should have been in school (they were about 5, but possibly tall 4yr olds?) It is usually nice there with a really good mix of people. Today was just rubbish and i was feeling rubbish. Got to take DD to ballet shortly, really regretting her starting now tbh

Vinny - that is very exciting, make sure you have extra shiney, flicky hair tomorrow

Lizzy - well done to you and the man

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 12/05/2010 13:20

Hello all.

Kitchen is clean, DD is fed, curry is in the slowcooker and I have done an online shop for tomorrow.

Having a quick break before I start on the laundry and hoover.

Vinny - V at the firemen.

DF, you are mad as cheese, truley

Saf, Sounds like you have had a rubbis time of it. I hope your 'real' life comes along soon

DEM, second what everyone has said, if you do not sleep, you do not think clearly.

How is everyones day going? Please tell me you all have shitty weather as well, it's not just me?

hellsbelles · 12/05/2010 13:39

Lizzy - well done. What a lovely lovely thing to have done and been involved with.

Vinny - I believe you when you say the fireman had nothing to do with it

Bella - I scraped car on concrete barrier in car park . Oh well thats what insurance is for I guess.

Bloody couldn't park at Jo Jingles (toddler music group - SAF) as its all residents parking and very limited other spaces which was very annoying.

Sazz - redundancy even when you want it is very emotional. My sister was recently made redundant from job she hated but she was still upset - its a big change. Hope you had nice time with friend.

Hells - pain about nanny and lack of naps. None of mine are big daytime sleepers or night-time for that matter

Mitts - you shold charge more if its ridiculously creased!

TrillianAstra · 12/05/2010 13:52

Ooh, Firemen. What are they going to teach you Vinny?

Well done Lizzy, it's nice when you can see your work doing some good in the world.

Goober · 12/05/2010 13:55

I loves yous.

All of yous.

I do.

Lizzylou · 12/05/2010 13:56

Oh SAF, poor you.
We used to get colds and bugs all the time when DS1 started at nursery/preschool, everyone says that it is good to build up their immunity, they forget you end up feeling shite as well!

Bitter, you are such a domestic goddess! The weather here has been bright but cool, it is now all dark and gloomy.

Who was it asked about Wasting (always think of Wasting when I am giving an East Lancs weather report!)? I am sure she has said that she has been getting out and about more n the day and is trying to only come on at night

I think I may not go for a run, but head for the gym before going to pick DS1 up from afterschool football. Then I may have a celebratory glass (or 2) of wine.

Lizzylou · 12/05/2010 13:59

Hey Goober, have you had any more news about bastard BA?

Tracey, we left Jo Jingles when DS1 was 14mths, the woman who ran it was just not very nice. We then went to a group ran by a barmy local woman who used to make me and my friend howl with laughter she was so bonkers.

Sazz/Crispy, hope you get it all sorted, it is an awful state, limbo, but the end is near.

Goober · 12/05/2010 14:00

No decision made until tomorrow.

I know it will be ok though.

Lizzylou · 12/05/2010 14:01

Oh yes, it will, Goober, you have had sorted it, I remember now
Think your Mum knows you deserve a holiday

Goober · 12/05/2010 14:06

I think she had a hand in organising it to start with.

We haven't had a holiday in 6 years for money reasons and now we get to have a big one and see my brother. Was all her.

ForStately · 12/05/2010 14:10

Bitter - I always feel sorry for you from your posts it seems like you work and are a bloody domestic drudge. I only mopped the floors today because i took these weird pills. Usually I do nothing. No, tell a lie, I occasionally put a load of washing on. I don't do baby bottles, i don't do lunch, i don't do dinner, i don't tidy. I watch jk/trisha/crime channel, talk to you lot, look after baby ie feed and cuddle/change, and make brooches, or watch a dvd. I do heat up lunch if required, dp makes it for me in morning and puts in fridge.

Woman - just say no. Fuck it, it'll still be there tomorrow.

Sazz - still being bastards?? I noticed earlier that one of trill's friends or might have been vinny's, is another of us, so potentital networking there (although obv i want the referral fee).

Lizzy - could you not just try to even pretend to be my friend and FIND MY EXH A JOB???? He's a solicitor and then I might get child support, gwan gwan gwan He's far more deserving than someone you just like who just happens to be recovering from cancer

NormaSknockers · 12/05/2010 14:10

Someone mentioned fireman?

Mind you, I like a nice copper myself

Bella have you heard back from DH? get you & your norty emails you little saucepot you!

Gigantaur · 12/05/2010 14:12

Iggiepitomisesvacuity · 12/05/2010 14:13

Was going to do a round-up but got distracted by talk of firemen

Lizzylou · 12/05/2010 14:18

Fluffy, I only cover the NOrthwest, do you want to move him to Manchester?

Hi Gigi, yep, normal service has been resumed, ish. How are you?

Lizzylou · 12/05/2010 14:18

Iggi
What is it about firemen? I have never seen a good looking one, yet still there is this fixation...
