Welcome all- old and new- this is our fifty-something Healthy Eating thread, where we chat, support each other's ascent into vibrant slinkiness full of bright eyes and glorious glowing skin etc etc...

Post as much as you can, and you'll be sure to catch the gossip and the gamut of human emotion that make up the Shiney threads. They have grown from one woman's noble quest to ditch curly-wurlies for breakfast into a veritable Mumsnet phenomenon, which has actually seen some of us lose rather a lot of weight and get much healthier...

Not me- I am still trying to get there, and have a permanent cold, but hey, let's not split hairs: there are other regulars who are a positive inspiration! So jump in and find us again, or join us anew, and follow whatever approach suits you.

My thought exactly Bella.
If you didn't sign for it can you deny any knowledge of it and dump it in a skip somewhere under cover of darkness?

Alicetheinvisible · 23/03/2010 20:11

BOF -

Is anyone watching Supersize vs Superskinny? I love it when they show the tubes of food Love this show! [sad fuck emoticon]

bellavita · 23/03/2010 20:12

I am having to watch it 4+1 at 9.00pm Alice.

I think I would survey the damage in the morning BoF and until then keep quiet.

hellsbelles · 23/03/2010 20:13

BOF - any pets that could be blamed?

jetcat · 23/03/2010 20:13

hells - have posted here so as not to bore you all take up this thread

very very at your new car Vinny, and at the idea of you and lizzy doing wheelies in it!

BOF - is she a friendly neighbour?

NormaSknockers · 23/03/2010 20:14

Vinny loving the lilac mood lighting

BOF could you say the wrapping was soaked when it was delieverd & badly ripped so you took it off to save it getting damaged?

BitOfFun · 23/03/2010 20:17

I think I will clean it up some more with a leather cleaner and explain that it got wet somehow after she'd wrecked the packaging. The lady is nice, yes, and she knows dd2 is, er, a handful. Will I have to pay for it?

OP posts:
Goober · 23/03/2010 20:20

BOF Have you seen this?

hellsbelles · 23/03/2010 20:20

BOf - I'm FB'ing you now.

BitOfFun · 23/03/2010 20:21

Hmm, I may start a thread in chat and see if anyone knows. Do excuse the cut and pasting, and feel free to ignore, because you've all been marvellous.

TotalChaos · 23/03/2010 20:24

just read about the poo and pouffe incident, many sympathies, I'm winceing in sympathy at your description of having to clean that pouffe I'ld spray a bit of dettol on it as well.

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 23/03/2010 20:35

did you say it was M&S bof? can you google and see if they have it in stock and rush out and get another? i will chip in some cash for it to help you out, i owe you a favour

hellsbelles · 23/03/2010 20:36

o.k...I'm watching Sophie Dahl cooking now. I'm very jealous that she is so lovely and can cook (rather like our own dear Bella).

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 23/03/2010 20:37

oh just read you post again, if its a john lewis one you might be able to replace it

BitOfFun · 23/03/2010 20:39

I assumed John Lewis, but I'm not sure actually. Shall google and see if I can find it. Any paperwork with it has been eaten by dd2 by the look of it, and I can't face going back to the bin in any case...

OP posts:
VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 23/03/2010 20:41

pouffe john lewis JL pouffles

bellavita · 23/03/2010 20:41

BoF - I will link it for you.. I have it here - see if it is this one.

bellavita · 23/03/2010 20:41

this one?

BitOfFun · 23/03/2010 20:45

No, it must be from somewhere else. It has litle swirly patterns on it.

OP posts:
bellavita · 23/03/2010 20:49

Wait until tomorrow then go round and explain.

Ask them where they bought it from and offer to ring up the company and explain what happened, put on your best crying voice and hopefully, they will replace free of charge.

BitOfFun · 23/03/2010 20:52

That sounds like a plan, Bella.

OP posts:
bellavita · 23/03/2010 20:56

No point in worrying about it now eh? What's done is done.

Lizzylou · 23/03/2010 20:58

Evening all

BOF, oh no, poor you. Could you blame it on the dog?? Do you think some febreze would work (does it work on leather?)? I am awe of you, you have such a sense of humour about things when I would be tearing my hair out and vomming.

Vinny at new car and mood lighting, how v posh. Enjoy

Jet, Hey! Long time no see, are you OK?

Hells, good that work is busy, bad that that means we miss you.....

Have done 10 mins wobbling, then 4km running, which was awful, thought I was going to vomit, think I ate too much too close to going, then 10 mins on wobbler again to soothe my stomach

Knackered now, have had some good work stuff going on this evening despite spending the morning on a mini MOT of my eyes/chest.

I see Bella as The Delicious Miss Dahl too! All groomed and gorgeous looking impossibly elegant whilst serving up scones.

wastingaway · 23/03/2010 21:07

Bloody hell BoF! Enjoy your large glass. I'm sure they'll understand if you explain what happened.

Yay for Vinny's Mini!

Hope you're ok Jet.

I'm chilling. A bit cold actually.

YanknCock · 23/03/2010 21:19

Alice, know what you mean. DS had never had a cold, and went from that to having oral antibiotics. So far seems ok, but am worried about him getting tummy upset or diarrhoea from them.

shiney, just saw about Taya. Good luck with this one, she is coming to that age isn't she, where mums and daughters start to clash on everything? I wish my parents had been more like you, at least I would have known where I stood. I like that you are very clear and blunt, and you set out consequences!

BOF, I've read the article (hope this doesn't make me stalkerish), very scary stuff and makes me want to hug you protectively! Yes, you definitely deserve a drink for DD2's latest incident. Reminds me of the time I caught my favourite client decorating his bathroom walls and linens with his toothbrush smeared in poo. Ahhh good times! I don't know whether you are obligated to pay for it, my instinct is no, but hopefully you will get some help on other thread.

Just a helpful hint for you all....do make sure you have a poo before pilates. Otherwise you spend half the class trying not to break wind or have really loud, obvious stomach rumbles
