Welcome all- old and new- this is our fifty-something Healthy Eating thread, where we chat, support each other's ascent into vibrant slinkiness full of bright eyes and glorious glowing skin etc etc...

Post as much as you can, and you'll be sure to catch the gossip and the gamut of human emotion that make up the Shiney threads. They have grown from one woman's noble quest to ditch curly-wurlies for breakfast into a veritable Mumsnet phenomenon, which has actually seen some of us lose rather a lot of weight and get much healthier...

Not me- I am still trying to get there, and have a permanent cold, but hey, let's not split hairs: there are other regulars who are a positive inspiration! So jump in and find us again, or join us anew, and follow whatever approach suits you.

Yes the tracker is great! i actually planned what to have for tea using the tracker before i got home from work

then i just got stuck into cooking it and scoffing the lot

i ate almost almost half a jar of picked beet root while waiting for it to cook though, because its 0 points and i was starving

usually i snack on pork cocktail sausages and chucks of cheese while waiting for things to cook

i feel very virtuous

bellavita · 22/03/2010 22:33

I love beetroot.

I took a pot of cherry toms to work to snack on this afternoon.

Yay for Goobs >

bellavita · 22/03/2010 22:34

as she

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 22/03/2010 22:40

well done Goobs

I am psyching myself up to exercise, maybe next week when my body is over the shock of dieting

bellavita · 22/03/2010 22:43

I think I am going to have to get my bike out of the garage and do some exercise around the village.

wastingaway · 22/03/2010 23:44

I think missing 21 pages of a new thread must be my record.

What's new? Vinny dieting on our diet thread?!

I certainly haven't been.
Though I've been walking lots still.
I think the volume of crap flying down my throat has kept me from you all, when I should be chatting for motivation.

I'll return tomorrow for a little pop-psycho-analysis if you don't mind.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 23/03/2010 00:45

Oh God will this sheep ever shut up and get on with it.

I have looked at the other thread and re hidden it.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 23/03/2010 01:20

Bloddy typical, phoned the shepherd as she has been going for nearly 2 hours and she had popped 2 out in the time he got here so just helped to pen up 5 ewes and babies.

Going to have my breakfast now.

BitOfFun · 23/03/2010 01:25

How lovely!

Hope you get some sleep though.

Just off now, tummy was rumbling and have to be out and about early so no time for breakfast. Feeling tired now so will see you all later on today.

Lizzylou · 23/03/2010 07:45

Aw Fanny, that is lovely, I love lambs. The same breeding season as me, with 2 boys born in March. Last Mothers Day we took the boys to a farm place and I saw a lamb being born (boys were on the park!), I was all teary, was lovely.

DIB, well done! You haven't loads to lose, so 2.5lbs is a a fabulous start.

Alice, young man at spin class was dark with some designer stubble, quite dishy, not that I noticed....

Goober, well done! You are the next Sazz now with all your exercise

Iggi, I never realised that about tinker

Off to opticians this morning for contact lens check. Now it is opposite a v good bra shop where they will measure you correctly. I have been meaning to get measure up properly for ages, should I nip in after my appointment? Or is it silly if I want to lose some more weight???

Hope everyone has good days (Vinny, you are doing brilliantly, is your car coming this evening?)

MitsubishiWarrioress · 23/03/2010 08:01

Yayy.. for all the exercise
yank.. I knew really......

brain is full of goo... no sleep really and horrible nightmares when I did,

but morning to all

xx

FiveGoMadInDorset · 23/03/2010 08:21

Lizzy - worth it. I remember when I lost a lot of weight before I lost none on my boobs.

YanknCock · 23/03/2010 09:00

Yay lambs! We went to Farmer Teds last year to see all the new lambs and I had to sit at a distance and admire them (signs everywhere for pregnant ladies to not touch ). Where we live you can go just a few miles up the road and see lots of sheep, I may have a detour today for lamb spotting.

Mitts... Take it easy, feel better.

Lizzy, I love the idea of you having a breeding season. Yes to the bra fitting!

DS seems a lot better now after 24 hours of antibiotics. He is bouncing happily in the jumperoo and his nose is not anywhere near as snotty as it has been. We have to skip swimming but are going to lunch at the soft play place.

Oh, I had 33 points yesterday. Eh. Must do better.

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 23/03/2010 09:13

Morning, congratulations on the new baby lambs fanny (will they get eaten?)

Wasting where have you been? i knew we were missing a couple of people, where is that Norma?

Still feeling very virtous today, have a huge salad prepared for my lunch and lots of fruit

NormaSknockers · 23/03/2010 09:18

Hello all,

Long time no speak, it's been hectic here but things are calming down

I have missed bloody loads - think it will take me days to catch up so I will just try and catch on from the current thread instead

YanknCock · 23/03/2010 09:20

NORMA!!!

Alicetheinvisible · 23/03/2010 09:24

Morning

Hi Norma.

Fanny - sounds like a busy night!

Vinny - have you got enough food though? Because you know you will need something mid morning

Lizzy - even if you just get one new bra, it will make a difference to your posture and the way you feel so totally worth it! (my boobs never get smaller either)

Taking DD to the Dr's shortly. Her eczma(sp?) is really bad atm, so just want to get it checked out.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 23/03/2010 09:24

Joins the snog fest with Norma... , you has been missed lady! Wotcha up to then?

NormaSknockers · 23/03/2010 09:26

Oooo yay snog fest - what a way to start the morning

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 23/03/2010 09:27

I have snack a jacks for mid morning alice

NormaSknockers · 23/03/2010 09:28

Had a really busy week last week, with DH being off we've planing decorating, had days out with the DC to the Zoo, DH's 30th birthday then a trip to Nottingham (journey was awful) then straight back out again for the day yesterday! DH is off this week too but thankfully aside from our child free night away on Saturday nothing booked in so I can just MN chill

What have I missed?

NormaSknockers · 23/03/2010 09:29

Oh & a grope too I am honoured

YanknCock · 23/03/2010 09:29

at Fanny and Alice with amazing, non-shrinking boobs. That is usually the first place I lose weight, and it's in the cup size, not the band. Bloody annoying as it's the one body part I like the look of when plumped up!

VinegarTitsOnaDiet · 23/03/2010 09:29

Lizzy go to the bra shop, honestly a good fitting bra does wonders! take it from a huge knockered person like me
