I did indeed , I don't know how the buggery I ended up quite that drunk though . I am normally a very sensible drinker . My neighbour came round for a wee glass of wine and I ended up pissed and not cooking dinner for anybody

I think today is going to be a long one .

I forgot about your craving question violet .

I am still getting the odd craving but not too many thankfully . I am just trying to ignore them and I have got my head around the fact that even if I had a cig I would still get another craving half an hour later anyway so what is the point ? So atm I am craving a couple of times a day but when I was smoking I presume I got the craving thing 20 times a day as that was how often I was having a cig .

Sorry , does that make any sense at all or am I still talking shite ?

My day was long generally

I spoke to a friend of mine and she said that the first time she had a few drinks after stopping smoking she ended up plastered as well so that has made me feel a wee bit better . I also found out that I had spoken to her last night and I have got no recollection of that at all . I have never ever done that , very odd

Sounds like you have had a lovely day Depeche , the money thing is such a bonus isn't it ? I keep thinking that I had better get some more money out but of course I don't need to , the money is just lasting so much longer .

Is it bedtime yet ?

Morning

Well done us indeed

I am so pleased to have got passed the first week without feeling too grim . I really thought I would have struggled so much more . Allen Carr is a bloody genius .

Depeche don't apologise for your grammer , seems fine to me but then I have never really understood the whole wankery on here about grammer .

I can't believe that all 3 of us have managed it . I have always found it so hard to visualise my life without a cig in my hand and now I am finding it so easy .

I am still having the odd pang but I know I won't have one .

I have got a bit of a hurdle to face on saturday , my bestest friend is coming down and we are going out to meet some very old friends . A lot of them smoke and of course last time we all met I was chuffing away with the best of them . I really need to reign my drinking in that night , I don't want to get carried away and bugger it all up .

Thanks Depeche , the water is def something I am going to do . I still am about the other night . I just don't want to cock it up . I work sat and sun morning so I am normally pretty good about not drinking too much at the weekend normally .

What is your plan for the day ?

I am thinking about completely making an arse of myself and do the Davina dvd in front of my boys this morning . I need to lose 2 stone as well so that is my next mission . If I can knock the cigs on the head I can do anything I reckon

It is hard isn't it ? I keep telling myself that I don't really mind being this size but I did manage to lose it all a couple of yrs ago and I felt so much better .

I have started taking evening primrose oil and multi vits and I have had to have some b12 injections so I am feeling a bit more lively than I have for a long time . I need to get on it before I become all lazy and lethargfic again .

Good luck with the getting out and about thing . It is piddling down here , all I have to do is go and buy some fish for dinner tonight so will do that this morning at some point .

hmmm crepes , we missed pancake day too , that was my evening of shame .

Well we have managed to kick the smoking together , we could give each other a big kick every now and then to get motivated with the wobbly bits too if you like .

I forgot about the b6 , oh yes and folic acid as well . Not ttc just low on the stuff .I am taking that too . I feel like a pharmacist in the morning when I get them all ready . I have only been doing it for a couple of weeks but I have def noticed a change already .

Hang on in there Depeche , only one more day left of half term really . This weather is the pits isn't it ? I hate being stuck in with the boys most of the day . We are all much happier if we can get out and about .

Well done for not buying any It would make you feel pretty shite if you gave in now .

Just think by the time your brother gets married you will be slim , fit and not stinking of cigs You need to plan what you are going to wear now .

How are your children doing now ? Nearly bedtime !

Your lunch sounds lovely , I had boring soup , and a random tube of smarties which won't help me much .

I wouldn't have thought they would have minded with it being half term .

My day was ok thanks , just faffing around looking for things to do to keep my two entertained . Or even better giving them stuff to do to entertain themselves

So diet starts on monday then ? Need to get this half term madness out the way first . Tbh with me it is not so much my diet , it is the lack of excercise that I need to sort out . I did start running/walking a while back but stopped when winter came , I am hoping to start back on that maybe this weekend .

I don't even have the French excuse , I just love butter , cheese and sauces .

Have fun out tonight , and you know that you can walk in there head held high that you smell of gorgeous perfume rather than stale smoke .

Reasonable I can commit to too . I can't do silly strict dieting but sensible not eating too much lard is doable hopefully .

Hello violet if you are around , I hope you have had a good day and the cravings are still going down .

My Partner was smoking 30 a day when I booked him in to see a hypnotist. He went along with it for my sake but didn't believe in it and evn smoked on the doorstp of the hypnotists house before he went in!
It cost £100 and he didn't smoke again, that was 5 years ago.
It doesn't work for everyone but well worth a try. Good luck
