People of the world, join hands, join our TOTALly fabulous healthy eating thread.

We are a group of MNetters who wish we lost a pound for every post we have made on this thread since our benevolent leader started her SHINEY threads many, many months ago now.

I am Syc, and I was once deputy although life has slightly got in the way in the last month or so. But, inspired by our recent TOTAL yoghurt bonanza, I'm back and on the wagon.

Join us, we are a friendly bunch but like to waste as many calories as possible through moving our digits very swiftly over the keyboards and posting like women possessed

All denominations here, so whatever way you want to lose weight, maintain or just focus on healthier eating, you will fit right in.

why has your biscuit got eyes wasting? [suspious]

VinegarTits · 09/11/2009 12:45
Biscuit
VinegarTits · 09/11/2009 12:45

mine has too

The buscuit has got its eyes back

TrillianAstra · 09/11/2009 13:01

No eyes here...

TrillianAstra · 09/11/2009 13:11

Have you changed computer?

Lizzylou · 09/11/2009 13:13

Vinny, have you been on the gin at work?

No eyes here.

Just a big gaping bloody hole where my tooth should be

Excellent for weightloss though I think.

hellsbelles · 09/11/2009 13:16

no eyes here either...

How's this for a backhanded compliment - DH looked over at me and said - 'have you lost weight?' and I said 'a little bit' and felt rather pleased - then he spoilt it by saying 'well don't lose too much you might waste away' and SNIGGERED - how rude

TrillianAstra · 09/11/2009 13:23

Hey, he noticed, that's pretty good, especially for someone who sees you every day.

jaquelinehydeTheBonfireToffee · 09/11/2009 13:23

at least he noticed Hells, that the most important thing.

I've been to the dentist today, for yet another emergency appointment, temp fillings in place again but the pain is still unbareable. I'm booked in next week for proper work to be done. What a flipping nightmare. At least it has taken my mind of my other ailments

I'm off to read these threads you have all been mentioning. See you in a while.

hellsbelles · 09/11/2009 13:29

Tis true - it's good he noticed. I think it was because I had a shortish skirt on (with opaque tights of course - I wasn't flashing my cellulite or anything like that!)....but I do wonder why he had to spoil it with the mean last word

Jac - you poor thing. Getting teeth sorted is horrible.

Regarding all the cod fish lovers....I wish I'd been around to see examples of her brilliance! I shall have to lurk a bit more on other threads and see what all the fuss is about.

Iggipepperedfillet · 09/11/2009 13:34

Have just eaten about a hundred oatcakes and philadelphia. Wish I could take them back out again. Will need to go on exercise machine for longer tonight - boringboringboring!

Am too young new to know anything about Cod. But by definition I think this is a group, not a clique, as you are always friendly to new people (eg me) and surely a clique tries to exclude?

VinegarTits · 09/11/2009 13:34

My biscuit has eyes im telling you

Got to go into a meeting now but will take a screen shot and later and send it to all you non-believers

AIBU - to think that Vinny may have gone a bit ga ga (i.e. seeing 'eyes everywhere') because of proximity of smelly shatty man?

I meanwhile am rather fed up as DD has woken up early from her sleep meaning I don't have time to MN work

SycIsTOTALLYFatFree · 09/11/2009 14:29

Afternoon ladies. Can't believe I have finally got on at work!!!!

I am doing well as of Sunday - took me a while to get my mojo back (it has been M.I.A for the best part of 6 weeks).

Can't pretend I can be around enough to enough the joyous chit chat I used to, which is a bit heartbreaking really, but I hope you'll all put up with me popping in when I can to record my successes and failures on the battle against burritos.

Today I have mostly had:

One disgusting lighter life porridge pack for breakfast and a skinny latte.

Lunch - low fat super noodles and the Total yog with all the trimmings.

Hope you are all doing ok.

Tonight I hope I'll have the strength just to have one Lighter Life soup pack.

Whilst we're sharing xmas tips, my sister told me that Elizabeth Arden moisturiser (can't remember which one, sorry) is on offer at 12.50 instead of £41 quid at the moment. They weren't even advertising it - she only found out once she got to the till.

good to see you on again.

My filling teeth are hurting like hell. What can I do? I've been to my appointment had temp fillings put back in, yet still have seriously bad pain, that no amount of pain killers are budging.

I feel like crying my eyes out, but don't because I know it won't help. To top it all off I'm starving but I'm too scared to eat.

[fed up emoticon] sorry for all the misery and moaning.

I think our thread could do with spreading a little mischief around soon, it's been a while since we did anything a little bit naughty

jaquelinehydeTheBonfireToffee · 09/11/2009 14:57

Vinny has definately gone a bit curly wurly cookoo cookoo.

Lizzylou · 09/11/2009 14:59

I feel your pain, Jac.
Have had my tooth extracted this morning, have another hour before I can have any more painkillers and whole right side of my face aches to buggery.
Toothache is the pits, innit?

Hi Syc! Hope you get your Mojo back and get back on and kick our asses soon.

TrillianAstra · 09/11/2009 15:04

Lizzy - you know you can have full doses of both ibuprofen and paracetamol at the same time? (although I hope you have been given something stronger)

If you only have normal painkillers I would alternate 3 ibuprofen an 2 paracetamol every 2 hours (so you still have 4 hrs between a dose of the same thing IYSWIM).

Lizzylou · 09/11/2009 15:06

I am alternating, Paracetomol and Nurofen Trills (not given anything stronger), 1 hour to go until next drug fest.......

I'm not allowed to brush my teeth or swallow until tomorrow lunchtime either.......bleurgh!

hellsbelles · 09/11/2009 15:13

oh Lizzy - sounds nasty - are you taking the super strong ones (I know they are bad - but in times of need the slighty squiffy feeling they give you is probably a good thing).

Also boots do one called 'dental pain' painkillers. Well they did about a year ago. Not quite sure how it would know to kill tooth pain rather than general pain (!) but it did help with my tooth extraction pain.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 09/11/2009 15:24

Hope everyone is having a good day?

Commiserations and icepacks to those with painful teeth (or anything else for that matter)

Had a little bit of quiche with bread and salad for lunch.

Wasting - it ended up being sausage pasta bake, but for casserole I just brown some sausages and onions and then add a tin of chopped toms and then some passata. Then one tin of kidney beans and one tin of canellini beans and some oregano and thyme. I sometimes put a pepper in too and some paprika. Good on it's own, or with a jacket potato if you are hungry, or crusty bread if you are hungry and have lots of calories left to eat!!
(Tip. DS likes the sauce/bean part with some grated cheese over it for his lunch the next day)

Lizzylou · 09/11/2009 15:25

Have sent DH out on a drugs raid for me, Hells, telling him to get me the strongest that they do......it is in his interests as I am also mentrual. So many excuses to be an irritable mega bitch today

Jac, I do feel for you, the pain now is nowhere near what it is was pre-treatment, I was waking in the night from it (which is pretty unheard of as I sleep the sleep of the dead usually). Hope you get it sorted.
