Welcome to the latest in our series of healthy eating threads (26 and counting)!

The emphasis is on health (which is sometimes rude when we get chatting frivolously, as is our tendency), and weight loss where desired. I obviously don't desire it enough, as I am the same weight as when I started, but some of our regulars are mere shadows of their former selves ...

Do come and sign in here if you are with us, or want to join in- all welcome.

We try a variety of approaches, and there is always a lot of support and quite a few laughs along the way. Shiney is the head honcho round these parts, and we do get to be regaled with her embarrassing stories before the rest of MN, so that's always a big draw

Join us if you will!

Lunch! I have eggs that need eating, what shall i do? Feel a bit ick though...

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 30/10/2009 12:12

Oh and good luck to Sylvester too (great name for a cat btw)

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 30/10/2009 12:14

If you're feeling a bit sick, I'd maybe give eggs a miss? Maybe some toast or plain soup?

VineGruesomeTits · 30/10/2009 12:39

I'm so ill, (this is my ill face, i look green)

Can't stop being sick and have horrible pains in my stomach

Sorry about your nan lizzy

What did i miss last night?

hellsbelles · 30/10/2009 13:11

Lizzy - that's so sad. Hope everyone is coping o.k

Thanks all for spag bol advice - I do panic about the stupidest things (when you think of all the babies that are probably fed on chips and manage to survive!). She loved it.

Vinny - oh dear - is it something you ate? Or the dreaded vomitting bug

Lizzylou · 30/10/2009 13:20

Thanks everyone.
Haven't heard anything as of yet, I have told DH to just go to the hospital, but he has taken the boys swimming instead. I know what he is doing, he is just trying to pretend it isn't happening and will go away
He's called and texted SIL and PIL but not heard from them. I don't know what that means tbh. They should have got to the hospital a while ago.

Sorry that you're feeling ill still VT.

Oh and if its not too late Hells, I'd give the bolognaise to your DD (I bet she already has an orangey mess all around her face!).

bellavita · 30/10/2009 13:27

Sorry about your puddy cat BIWI

Vinny - have sent you a message via fb . Stomach cramps... sounds like food poisining to me.

VineGruesomeTits · 30/10/2009 13:35

It must be food poisoning, ds1 has started being sick again too and he has been ok for 2 days

Must be the food i cooked last night, but we both had different meals, i had spaghetti carbonara and he has bean burgers (hes one of the veggies) and chips

VineGruesomeTits · 30/10/2009 13:37

Oh just thought, we both had salad with our meals, must have been that wonder if my chopping board is contaminated

bellavita · 30/10/2009 13:40

Throw it away Vinny, just to be on the safe side...

Those stomach cramps are just the pits

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 30/10/2009 13:41

Oh dear Vinny Hope you all start to feel better soon. Lots of fluids mind.

Just had another look at your pumpkin - bloody lovely

vastingavay · 30/10/2009 13:41

Oh Lizzy, . They'll have their phones off in the hospital.

It's taken me all morning to catch up, so I've probably forgotten most of what I wanted to say!

Good news on jet's brother!

Sorry for your troubles Jaq, but you're right about putting things in perspective.

Re: babies at 23 stone. I read when ttc DS that your body will put back on quite a bit of weight when pregnant if you have recently lost a lot, plus dieting depletes nutrients from the body even if you're doing it healthily.
On the other hand there is the risk of complications. If you had gestational diabetes etc. last time, then I wouldn't risk it at this weight.

VineGruesomeTits · 30/10/2009 13:44

V&D and food poisoning in the same week, it could only happen to me!

vastingavay · 30/10/2009 13:57

Oh Vinny! Rotten luck!

jetcock · 30/10/2009 15:00

lizzy - sad to hear your news Hope she is comfortable.

Vinney - hope you feel better soon, and i would def chuck the chopping board just in case!

Dem, sorry to bail on you last night - i could hear foot steps upstairs, and when i went up, minijet was standing next to my bedrrom door, pillow in one hand and her teddy in the other, still asleep mumbling "mammy's bed" She looked so cute i gave in I hope this doesnt become a regular occurance!

New laptop very important - make sure you get a good deal and don't get seduced by pretty pictures...
