Will you still be able to buy such things from M&S when you are a receptionist rather than a copper Shiney? Maybe Slubber and Bella should do a masterclass

Slubberdegullion · 21/10/2009 13:34

I'm doing evening classes in cake decorating atm so this mornings efforts were my homework. They are to go on fairy cakes for a party this w/e.

and yes, I do fully acknowledge the cliched buntingcupcakedness of my existence.

Is Bella a cake person also?

TrillianSlasher · 21/10/2009 13:44

Bella is also a cake person, yes, people at her DH's work request her creations quite often.

I like to make cakes, but am supremely unartistic and so my efforts generally fall into the "ugly but tasty" category

Slubberdegullion · 21/10/2009 13:47

ahh yes but ugly but tasty efforts are often the best. Sometimes cakes just get far too far up their own arses for their own good. There is nowt wrong at all with a lopsided tealoaf.

VinegARGHHHTits · 21/10/2009 14:03

i am a cake person, i regularly eat them

TrillianSlasher · 21/10/2009 14:07

AF due today or tomorrow, feeling twinges, so far have been slelf-medicating with lots of tea, but might need ibuprofen and/or chocolate soonish.

jetonthedancefloor · 21/10/2009 14:18

how do you guys do it - all this talk of cakes and lovely icing makes me so want to eat loads and loads one

I wish i could do fancy stuff like that - but it just looks ugly and tasted ugly

Alice hope it works first time, so you dont have to do your chores too often

TrillianSlasher · 21/10/2009 14:21

First time? Nah, you want a leeeetle bit of time to practise

Jet - Woohoo!!! That is BRILLIANT! You go lady!!! You must be ever so pleased with yourself

TrillianSlasher · 21/10/2009 14:45

Are you not? I thought you said the job was like Bella's job in a school reception?

I'm having a crunchie. It seemed like that sort of day. 185 calories in a crunchie!

Slubberdegullion · 21/10/2009 14:58

I'm having a nice cup of water

What are you going to be then shiney? Why the change? Are you giving your old job up for good ? What exactly was is/your old job anyway, apart from something policey?.

In fact if you could just summarise your work history/future for me in a bullet point format that would be very helpful.

NormaSknockers · 21/10/2009 14:59

Afternoon all

Well I weighed in, a gain of 3lbs I would say I'm suprised but I'm not. Since Sunday I literally ate anything that wasn't nailed down!! Oh well, well & truly back on the wagon today & DH is on lates all week which actually makes it easier for me!

Squuezy - card posted off you today 1st class recorded my lovely, obviously stoopid RM strikes will hold it up but hopefully it'll be with you before long

Jet - that is bloody brilliant well done you!!

Slubber - I was trying to remember where I'd seen your name before and you are the tough love lady from Shineys flu thread.....very funny indeed!

NormaSknockers · 21/10/2009 15:25

Lovely jubbly

OP posts:
Slubberdegullion · 21/10/2009 15:32

I am indeed the tough love lady Squeezy

NormaSknockers · 21/10/2009 15:37

Very tempted to eat one of the cakes sitting on my kitchen worktop from my big bake-a-thon the other day....thinking about tipping them in the bin & pouring washing-up liquid on them so I don't eat them....DH would be peeved off though

OP posts:
jetonthedancefloor · 21/10/2009 15:37

thanks for all the kind words guys - i do feel a bit of an idiot for all my incessant worrying and whining on here though

shiney - i too thought your job was like bella's job?? I second the call for a bullet point list

jetonthedancefloor · 21/10/2009 15:40

slubber - we def need some tough love around here

Slubberdegullion · 21/10/2009 15:42

Norma,

Norma Norma Norma

Can I do tough here? is it too early, I am such a newbie, you will think I am frightfully presumptious. I am good at tough though.

no no

I won't say anthing about the cakes
[shtum]

jet your achievemnt is just AMAZING. I am dead impressed. Are you doing a thing, like weightwatchers?

NormaSknockers · 21/10/2009 15:47

I won't eat them, I'm to full of resolve today!

bellavita · 21/10/2009 15:48

Billy Joe touched your hand.... oh my I am so . I think I would have fainted and died and gone to heaven all at once.

We tried to get tickets to the UK concert but they were only selling them in two's and we need four.

Slubs I am indeed a cake person - have not done any classes but have done a few creations. I would like to do an evening class and in fact at the school were I work the sports centre next door runs classes and I really should look into it. I love cooking too and faffing about - I have ummm lots and lots of cookery/cake books and a zillion Good Food Mags that I read over and over again. Yes, I know, I am sad

I have just eaten a brownie and now my muffin top is hanging over my trousers even more.

I wore this little rinky dinky dress yesterday, it hides a multitude of sins!

Slubberdegullion · 21/10/2009 15:49

I have to hide everything that tempts me in the back of the garage where the spiders live. Then it is greed vs idleness and fear. Usually idleness wins out.
