Evening ladies

Very quiet around here today. Tonight is wine, fish and chips with mushy peas and X Factor. Tomorrow DH and I have this forest adventure thing, climbing through trees, ziplines etc, can't wait! Should burn a few calories which hopefully will make up for the fish and chips tonight

DevilsEnticeMadness · 18/10/2009 19:36

Right need some advice but have to find camera. will be back shortly...

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 18/10/2009 19:46

Skimmed briefly....So pleased for you shiney.., well done and Hi to jaq!

To be honest I have just had the weekend from Hell. I so wanted to spend it or as much in bed, but DS and his Dad are really not getting on. They have spent the weekend tearing each other to shreds but I couldn't cope with DC's on my own with the pactical stuff. So tired and pathetically wasted.
I can't begin to describe how awful it has been with either DS or his Dad threatening to take off, DS and DD winding each other up to fighting physically point, and I know I handled it badly because I felt so crap, Ds and his dad having verbal brawls in a shopping centre and local park.
I am at the end of my tether.

Sorry for offloading but I am a bit low. Ate well all weekend and have just eaten cheese toasty, 2 slices salmon pate on toast, Apple pie and cream and a Kit Kat.
I am trying not to cry. Bugger.

SpookyAlice · 18/10/2009 19:55

TMW for you, that sounds horrendous. The weekend is nearly over, just keep telling yourself that you are feeling particularly bad because you are ill and once you are better you will be in control. Allow yourself to recover. Have an early night, you sound like you really need it

DevilsEnticeMadness · 18/10/2009 20:15

for TMW

Right there are 3 pictures one my profile. The pattern is the one i want to use. I have a big pile of material from my nan and found 2 pieces that might do (of the stuff currently washed) so the question is what do you think (honesty) which would you use for the pattern or would you use both. Its to go over trousers.

TrillianSlasher · 18/10/2009 20:17

Green material looks less like a sofa DEM. Honestly.

bellavita · 18/10/2009 20:19

, I don't care if un mn or not!

DEM - out of the two, I prefer the first one.

DevilsEnticeMadness · 18/10/2009 20:20

That's what i thought. I really like the green one but wasnt sure if it was too 60's for current fashion as i lost touch with fashion about 15 years ago....

DevilsEnticeMadness · 18/10/2009 20:22

Might have to go have another rummage. I already had a good stock of material before the donation of nan's.

DevilsEnticeMadness · 18/10/2009 20:39

Tumble weed, tumble weed, riding through the glen
Tumble weed, tumble weed, with his bunch of men
starts in the east
leaves in the west
tumble weed, tumble weed really is a pest.

Evening, and hugs all round (to those who'd like them) (nonchalant wave to the rest). Wondering how I will survive without my shiny thread fix as going on holiday tomorrow (just to Yorkshire) and think chance of a wifi link unlikely. But not to worry, will have about a book's worth of posts to read when I get back!

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 18/10/2009 21:15

Aw TMW

DEM, the green one is nice, quite retro and funky.

Have a good holiday Iggi!

TheIggorcist · 18/10/2009 21:19

DEM could you make us all clothes? It could be like a uniform
I like the green material best so.

TrillianSlasher · 18/10/2009 21:41

Hmm, thread uniform, quorn fillets, we are getting rather culty aren't we?

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 18/10/2009 21:43

It's been said Trills.....

bellavita · 18/10/2009 21:47

Have a nice holiday Iggy and give us a wave - I am in Yorkshire

bellavita · 18/10/2009 21:51

Shiney, can I ask you something?

SqueezyCheesyPumpkin · 18/10/2009 21:54

Slimey, it's not the first tim this weekend that our Trills has called someone the 'C' word.....

bellavita · 18/10/2009 22:04

Well, I will ask anyway... do you allow your ex's to contact your children to say chat to them on the phone on the times when it is not their turn to have them?

My brother usually has his children every other weekend and every Tue night he has his son (this was not in the agreement though, my nephew just wanted to stay at his dad's). He quite often went to see his kids after school (at the school gates) just to say hello. Sometimes (though not for a while now) if ex wife and new hubby were out on a weekend and it was not my brothers turn to have them, they would sometimes ring him up and say oh we are doing so and so and X is shopping with mates and needs picking up. So he would drop everything to go and get her.

He has now received a letter from Sols saying he can only see them on his weekends and is to have no contact with them outside of this unless they phone him - he cannot phone them. I just wondered what sort of mother would do that to her children when they like spending time with their dad?

TheIggorcist · 18/10/2009 22:04

Thank you Staying in Pickering (for the trains). Will have a visit to Whitby and Scarborough, like 'em both. Have spent the day packing AND minding DS and am sick of it all. Have packed a nice big bottle of booze though so tomorrow night I can lie on the sofa and relax!
