Good Norma if te phone doesn't ring, bad if it does.
We have a miniature turtle in the fish tank now, called Patrick (after MR Swayze), he is fab and I can always talk to him!
Bloody people keep calling though. most of them moaning.

Bugger

TerryWogansCock · 17/10/2009 11:10

Can't believe you forgot to mention the thread mascot Shiney

Well done on the job and welcome back jaq

hellsbelles · 17/10/2009 11:18

Jac - I'm new here also and have managed to put on weight since joining the thread

Shiney - so so happy for you - that is pretty bloody amazing getting a job on your first interview in 100 years . Checked in last night and saw you had it but after just 2 glasses of wine was too pissed tired to post my congratulations.

I'm so so so sorry for myself today. First night at the pub in about 2 years and I can't believe that just 2 glasses made me feel so rubbish. My poor family are cowering in corners as I act like a teenager with a sore head.

hellsbelles · 17/10/2009 11:21

eh? I'm obviously 'so so' today - can't believe I said that twice

I also didn't get a SHiney mention, but I'm here enough to mention myself. Hi!

Where are you Squeezy? The day here is far from gorgeous. I am having banana and yoghurt for breakfast, then popping out to get the Times to check out Flamingo's snubbing by the Prime Minister.

Hells - you need to keep up the practice with drinking - you woulnd't go out and run a marathon without training would you?

NormaSknockers · 17/10/2009 11:28

Why thank you Shiney

Lizzy does Patrick talk back or is it more of a one ay conversation?

Shiney sounds like a balanced breakfast to me - did you have an orange or strawberry QS as youcan count that as fruit then?

Am in south-ish west-ish Scotland Trills. Can't believe it's so nice as it was freezing during the night. Better not hold my breath though

DreamsInBinary · 17/10/2009 11:30

The leeading article on the front page of The Times, no less

You should be LividButFamousFlamingoBingo from now on.

SpookyAlice · 17/10/2009 11:33

Morning all

Yay!!! for shiney!!!!!

Went out last night to Pizza Express and had one of their new pizzas with the middle missing (the middle is filled with salad) and i didn't have pudding. Did have peroni though mmmmmmm.......peroni. Was a good night. Supposed to go out on mad night out in town this evening but DD is very poorly with cold, DH is feeling crappy and i am definitely coldy, so good excuse to get out of it

TrillianSlasher · 17/10/2009 11:37

Mmm, those pizzas filled with salad sound nice.

Alice - you're missing your hotpants-filled evening?! How about you tell them you're feeling rubbish, but because they mean so much to you you will meet them for one or two drinks and then leave. That way they'll feel really special that you've dragged yourself out of your sickbed, but you get to only stay out as long as you feel like.

I always get the Saturday Times, so excited that someone I (sort of) know is in it!

Maybe I should throw on some clothes and get the paper now...

hellsbelles · 17/10/2009 11:38

Trills - you speak so much sense. I did so much hard work and training in the past - I was almost olympic standard - I just thought that like muscles have a memory - so would my hollow legs [grins] - very sad that someone of my skill has now past her prime. Oh well - as you say I shall just have to start practising.

hellsbelles · 17/10/2009 11:39

oh ffs - I should just stop posting I can't even get my right

TrillianSlasher · 17/10/2009 11:40

now!

SpookyAlice · 17/10/2009 11:48

I would Trills, but they are not going out til 10pm !!!!!!! That's bedtime

TrillianSlasher · 17/10/2009 11:49

What? Madness! They're not Spanish are they? What are they doing til then?

hellsbelles · 17/10/2009 12:05

That is far too complicated for my wine clouded brain
Got the times - Flam - well done on the mention though I'm a bit that there is so much on 'biscuitgate'

TrillianSlasher · 17/10/2009 12:48

They obviously needed a lighthearted bit of news and so went for the biscuit thing. Also maybe the Times is in favour of the home ed review thing. If they were an anti-Gordon paper (or anti the review) they would definitely have picked up on that, so many peope were saying: my question is please answer Flamingo's question.

hellsbelles · 17/10/2009 13:08

that makes sense on the Times. I do think he was brave coming on here - but badly advised. Surely someone could have briefed him properly on what he was letting himself in for? Anyway - I should save that for the GB thread

bellavita · 17/10/2009 13:41

Hello all

Have just been to the pub where I used to work - we had lunch (DH away till tea time). I was good though and had one slimline tonic and fresh dressed Scarborough crab (with a few chippies thrown in). DS1 had a pudding - profiteroles and by golly they did look good, but I did not test.

Hope everyone is well and helloooooo to JAQ

The house feels like it is a tip (it isn't, but I just have one of them heads on today when everything seems out of place.

Going to do some baking for the freezer - yep even freezers like cakes We are having our first ever Christmas Fayre at work in Dec and I have agreed to bake some stuff, so I might as well get a head of myself.

Nice ish day here too.

Love to you all x

TrillianSlasher · 17/10/2009 14:13

We have just joined the AA. It is expensive (opted for home start and the full works) but I think it is a good thing to have. Won't apply for the car being broken right now but next time something happens (or if it conks out when DP tries to drive it to the garage).

TrillianSlasher · 17/10/2009 14:16

Your baking is always so beautiful Bella.

Wondering if to do anything to day or just chill out. Weather not nice, and town always horrible on Saturdays, but there are still things we could do.

DevilsEnticeMadness · 17/10/2009 14:29

Bella are you ever not baking?

Do you have any really simple but scrummy recipies that will work with vitalite/milk free? Especially looking for a muffin recipie that will actually taset nice. tried afew from internet special diet sites and i wouldnt poision a sewer rat with them they were that bd .

Its particle physics on my list of to do today. So guess what i am doing instead?
