MrsDoylesBoyle · 18/02/2009 21:13

Does squeezing them have something to do with your name ?

BananaSkin · 18/02/2009 21:16

Still there? I thought the 'TADA' post meant you had topped them. The suspense continues.

morethanyoubargainfor · 18/02/2009 21:16

luckily for DH i had him before i had them!

I hasten to add not all of them have been or are on fanjo, they track around my body, usually in straight lines! i am the human dot to dot.

bellavita · 18/02/2009 21:17

DH has just looked at me as if I have lost the plot - I just burst out laughing.

I have kept up with this thread chuckling (although I know it is not nice and will be very painful for you), but the "arsedoctor" thread was soooo funny.

MrsDoylesBoyle · 18/02/2009 21:20

Bananaskin -The TADA was my namechange

BecauseImWorthIt · 18/02/2009 21:25

girlandboy · 19/02/2009 22:58

MrsDoyle - how are the twins today? You've gone very quiet!

FlyMeToDunoon · 20/02/2009 16:19

This is like when you get really into an american tv series and then they cancel the last 3 episodes!
What has happened to the twins??

LynetteScavo · 20/02/2009 16:22

DH is replused by this thread. He wants me to tell you all to go and have a good wash.

What exactly is boil anyway?

My sisters partner had one once, and she told be this long black goo thing was pulled out of the middle.

FlyMeToDunoon · 20/02/2009 16:23

Eeeeeuw!

TheThoughtPolice · 20/02/2009 16:26

boils are nothing to do with being dirty lynette

FlyMeToDunoon · 20/02/2009 16:27

What does cause them?

HeadFairy · 20/02/2009 16:38

As a veteran of more than 70 boils (bleurgh, post glandular fever grimness - luckily most of them were out of sight) I can suggest getting a mug of boiling water, a wooden spoon and a clean flannel. Then you wrap the flannel round the wooden spoon, dip that in the boiling water and hold it near (note near, not touching) the boil, that will draw out the goo. If you're feeling brave, wrap your two index fingers in clean tissue, put a finger each side of the boil and push gently downwards, don't squeeze. If you've steamed then the pressure should be enough to get the goo out, and it won't hurt so much. Afterwards add some tea tree oil/salt/tcp to a bath and sit in it for a few mins. Magazine and a glass of wine is optional

Good luck!

LynetteScavo · 20/02/2009 17:51

So what does cause them?

Mine were caused by an crummy immune system not liking the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Staphylococcus_aureus staphyloccoccus aurea (sp?) bacteria that lives on the skin of most of us (a more virulent version of it causes MRSA) and when a few of the little nasties find their way in to a pore hole or a hair follicle they can cause boils. I had to bathe in something wierd and wash my hands continuously with the stuff that's in those little hand pumps in hospitals now. The boils usually appeared in dark damp places (groin, underarms etc) and near glands (groin, underarms etc). MrsDoyle's boil could be caused by something different, but that's what caused mine.

BananaSkin · 20/02/2009 18:34

Ooooh, this thread is still going .

Belgianbun, that link is a bit more civilised than one posted earlier - did anyone see the man dealing with a boil on his bottom (that was green with nausea btw, not envy)? It was so bad it was taken off YouTube!

MrsDoylesBoyle · 20/02/2009 22:19

The twins are still there.
I am hoping that they will just pop on their own as i dont have a wooden spoon but i could stand over a boiling kettle

BananaSkin · 20/02/2009 22:23

You could try a hairdryer as per other thread on 'am I being unreasonable'!

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 20/02/2009 22:25

Keep us posted!!!

MrsDoylesBoyle · 20/02/2009 22:30

I shall indeed let you know when they pop.
